Need to see Pandey outside Indore in 1 match. He looked good that match but they were helpful conditions.
Not that helpful....same match zaheer and ajit could hardly do anything..

Zaheer got a 5 wicket haul and nayar seemed unplayable on last day.

Huh ? Agarkar took a 3fer first innings and ZAK took a 5fer last innings leading Mumbai to the win. Even Nayar took 3 wickets in both innings.

nayar is atg at that level :P
he bowled wide outside offstump and cut the flow of runs and got some good wickets in the end. Loved his passion .

Comparing Mumbai (one of the strongest batting unit) batting to MPs, one of the worst batting unit.

In the first innings.
He said that match. Anyway, Pandey was very good first innings but disappointed me a little in the second. First innings pitch was helpful for both attacks, but Pandey was the best bowler.

I would pick Shami. More pace and more accurate. Kuma is too slow and we have seen so many such Indian bowlers turn into trundlers once they play for 1+ years.
BK looks more fit though. He was easily bowling 10 overs on the trot even in a place like Kochi which is extremely hot and humid and even today bowled 10 overs almost on the trot. He will pick up his pace as he gets older. Srinath also had a thin frame like him when he started out but went to become a pace bowler who could clock 140+ consistently and even hit 150.

Srinath's pace was always on the higher side though. Even with that thin frame of his, he generated good pace. BK is better maybe at bowling longish spells, but once the swing gets over, which is more likely to happen in tests, then you need either skills or pace to be effective and that's where I think Shami Ahmed is ahead.

Shami looks ready for test cricket now and am sure will be making his debut vs the Aussies. Bhuvanesh will have to wait for sometime before playing test cricket. For the shorter formats, guess both of them have booked their slot in the starting 11 for the next few series (CT, tri series in WI etc).

I hope it's true. But, or kaptaan selectors can have all sorts of brain farts and sideline him.

^ If Umesh is not fit' date=' Shami's chances are good. Don't think Jokersanth will get selected again.[/quote'] Any links on Umesh's fitness updates? Would be a neccesity in tests against Oz.
