National Herald case: Delhi court to hear case on 9 December New Delhi: A Delhi court has fixed 9 December for hearing the National Herald case, in which it had issued summons against Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and others. Metropolitan Magistrate Gomati Manocha postponed the matter after the counsel appearing for Sonia Gandhi and others informed the court that the Delhi High Court had stayed the criminal proceedings pending before the trial court until 3 September. The complaint in the matter was filed by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy. During the hearing, Swamy informed the court that he had served the summon issued against accused Sam Pitroda, who according to him is presently residing in the USA. http://www.firstpost.com/politics/national-herald-case-delhi-court-to-hear-case-on-9-december-1686177.html

both Ma/Beta are abroad & there is a talk of rebellion in Congress... will Congress split once more?
Don't think there is much chance of a split. There is no leader who is capable of leading others to break away from the party. They will grumble for sometime, some will leave the party but that's it I think. And, of course there will be more calls for Priyanka to join politics full time.

And BTW till now it seems that its Rahul Gandhi' date=' and not Sonia Gandhi, whose authority/leadership is being questioned. So sadly it looks like they are still here for a long time.[/quote'] questioned by seniors in the party.. I say Cong headed for a split

Unlikely. They know very well that as soon as there is a split, the splinter group will have a lot of internal dissent and will end up in a mess. Congress has split up many many times in the past and on most of those occasions, the splinter group has found very little electoral success and ended up getting merged again with the parent party. Even if few dissidents move out, a major split is unlikely.

Will be interesting what happens to Congress if it gets routed like LS polls in Haryana and Maharashtra.
no way they will get routed.. but defeat is a possibility

why is congress supporting Ajit Singh on the the bungalow issue? Legally they should be for evicting everybody staying illegally
The bungalow was allotted to former PM Charan Singh and Ajit Singh had won the Baghpat seat for many, many years and hence he was allotted the same bungalow. Now it seems Ajit Singh has convinced many parties, including Cong, SP etc to ask for that bungalow to be named a 'Kisan memorial' in memory of Charan Singh (and thus keep the house for many years to come). What the Govt should do is to name the bungalow a memorial but add a condition that nobody would be allowed to live in it.

That would encourage many other MPs to claim emotional attachment to their government sponsored dwellings and Delhi will be full of memorials and no place to stay for new MPs. Get the army and drag this idiot out of his house.
