The congress IMO need an organisation overhaul with new faces and new responsibilities all over inida. Its all fine relauching him but if somehow the BJP manage to get the land bill and gst etc through he looks quite impotent.

Do you stick to the old Amrinder who can get your more results or stick to the safe option of Bajwa who is loyal but wont get your far. Haryana. Do you give into the demands of Hooda to make his son PCC chief or do you stick to Tanwar? He still have Sonia Gandhi but RaGa needs to make some decisive calls. Clearly plan to replace old with new is going to ruffle a lot of feathers and there is a good chance another political party just like the NCP and Trinamool will emerge out of the congress. There are already rumours that Amrinder will float his own front if he is not backed and ditto with Hooda.

In most major states atleast one regional party sells the same thing. Take the united Andhra Pradesh. If things continue as they are its going to take decades for the congress to build back. (obviously freak occurrences change everything). If people want to vote against the BJP they will vote for the three regional parties potentially. There are just too many parties selling the same thing the congress is selling. There was a time when they did sell that exclusively.

This is media age, as soon as they will find out that the person who talks about poorest himself spends half of the year in Europe or Thailand they will be disconnected to him. Rahul Gandhi has 4 years of time, whole Congress party is behind him, he himself has been in active politics for more than 10 years now, there are many media sympathizer with him also, he can utilize this time in building his own image. Congress gaining ground would be good news for Modi and BJP and might help them in 2019 election.

He's allowing the opposition to create a perception (if not his true character) that he's doesn't cares about farmers and poor... There has been quite a lot of Farmer suicides in last 10 months and it's not visible that he's is going out of the way to stop the trend or properly compensates them... He's busy is something, I don't know what, but he's not being smart in the national politics...

The BJP have passed a lot of reforms in parliament. Even if they manage to get the GST done it is going to bring jobs in the economy. We have to judge him at the end of 5 years. Modi and co are smart to take up politically sensitive bills in their first year of government. I feel the congress had the chance in 2010 to pass many bills with Trinamool ready to play ball as they did not have the surety of victory in WB and needed the congress
