amiret Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Cements. Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been appointed as vice-president of India Cements, a company which is headed by BCCI president N Srinivasan. Dhoni, who recently resigned from Air India, is expected to play for his new employers in the BCCI Corporate Trophy which began on Friday despite his earlier intention to take a break ahead of the important home series against Australia. India Cements are the owners of IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings of which Dhoni has been the captain since 2008 and Srinivasan is the managing director-cum-vice-chairman of the company. That Dhoni had joined the company had come to light when his name was included in the India Cements squad a few days back. A Chennai Super King official has confirmed his position in the company. The inclusion of Dhoni's name in the India Cements squad for February 1-8 Corporate Trophy had come as a surprise since the Indian captain had expressed a desire to rest and had made himself unavailable for the Irani Trophy. The latest move to make Dhoni a vice-president of Indian Cements could come under criticism on the ground of conflict of interest. Dhoni is known to have the complete backing of Srinivasan who had vetoed a move to remove him from captaincy after a string of Test losses. Dhoni had earlier played in Corporate Trophy for national carrier Air India but since then has resigned from the company. http://www.hindustantimes.com/Cricket/CricketNews/MS-Dhoni-named-vice-president-of-company-owned-by-BCCI-chief/Article1-1005001.aspx

khanjee Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 shram naam ki koi cheez hi nahi hai ..i thought we were bad but good to know we have a tough competition
Marut Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Dhoni's captaincy is coterminus with his retirement.
Sachin=GOD Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 So the Captain of the Indian Cricket team is the Vice President of a Company owned by the President of the BCCI. Also, the President owns an IPL team of which Dhoni is Captain .................and people still fail to see any conflict of interest on behalf of either of the two :wall:
saneindian Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Too many (incompetent) people being promoted to VPs these days...First Rahul Gandhi, now Dhoni Maybe the lesson is to lose as many battles to get that coveted promotion
amiret Posted February 1, 2013 Author Posted February 1, 2013 You will cringe the next time you hear Harsha Bhaunkle's cliche. "Cemented his captaincy and place "
1983-2011 Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 srini is only teaching his gay son a lesson by making dhoni his vice president
I6MTW Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Dhoni will score century in opening match of IPL.
Sachin=GOD Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 i dont see anything wrong in it how exactly is Dhoni qualified to be a VP in India Cements?
panther Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Lol what a joke do you need any more evidence to see bcci is corrupt?
veer Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Lol what a joke do you need any more evidence to see bcci is corrupt? almost everyone knows about it..
amiret Posted February 1, 2013 Author Posted February 1, 2013 feel sorry for the thousands of employees of India cements. Many of them would have been overlooked for the post of Vice President. N Srinivasan probably just wanted a weak, ineffectual , flunkey ...a figurehead for the post of Vice President and MS Dhoni was the ideal candidate.
