panther Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Here he is age 30 bowling around 78 mph? VvjJCHNdKi4
express bowling Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Pollock bowled medium pace for about 2/3rds of his career but could generate decent bounce.
Robelinda Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 apparently bowled fast in his debut series, but by the time the aussies faced him in 1997 he was much slower, he always struggled to have much impact against us, bit of a minnow bully.
Crookbond Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Doesn't effin matter - look at what he did in 2008 in a T20! 3-bF_c4U_pE
vandokkum Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 apparently bowled fast in his debut series' date=' but by the time the aussies faced him in 1997 he was much slower, he always struggled to have much impact against us, bit of a minnow bully.[/quote'] Stop bull*****ing, He was deadly against every team other than Australia. Failing against one team doesn't make one a minnow bully.
sm332 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Hardly a minnow bashed ... based on Robelinda's definition, Warne was a bully against poor spin players since he did jack against India? Polly was a fantastic bowler for the vast majority of his career. Not Steyn/Donald class excellent all the same.
Sean Bradley Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Why are pakistanis so obsessed with pace? Compare his stats with your Phassttt 'baller' Umar Gul and you will get your answere :two_thumbs_up:
youngindia Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Here he is age 30 bowling around 78 mph? his returns dropped as well. during the 2002-2008,period, he had only 2 5 wkt hauls (compared to 12 earlier) and 151 wkts from 42 tests(less than 4). he had only one really good year from there on by his standards.stopped totally being effective vs aus from 2001
CG Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 He was a very good bowler and also a good with the bat.But he was never quick ,I remember he bowled spin against srilanka in srilanka.
rkt.india Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 He was a very good bowler and also a good with the bat.But he was never quick ' date='I remember he bowled spin against srilanka in srilanka.[/quote'] leg spin. He was a pacer with a good leg spinner's action.
vayuu1 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 He is a trundler we will love to have stop bullish**t
Marut Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Here he is age 30 bowling around 78 mph? VvjJCHNdKi4 Shaun was a much better bowler than the "fire-spitting" Shoaib Akhtar.
Crookbond Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 He was a very good bowler and also a good with the bat.But he was never quick ' date=I remember he bowled spin against srilanka in srilanka. Isn't that the game where Jaywardene and Sangakkara racked up a 600+ partnership? I know even Zaheer Khan bowled spin once.
rkt.india Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Isn't that the game where Jaywardene and Sangakkara racked up a 600+ partnership? I know even Zaheer Khan bowled spin once. When did that happen?
SLICKR392 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 When did that happen? Bowled Razzq out in the 2004-05 Hutch Cup 5th ODI against Pakistan in the death overs. That's the one I remember.
Dumbbells Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 He slowed down at 28 and it was very surprising that he slowed down at an early age,
PhilandersSwing Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 12 tests vs India at a gentle 19.63 runs per wicket. Just your average Trundler
saneindian Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Better than any other Pak bowler, did not use bottle caps either.
Lord Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Bowled Razzq out in the 2004-05 Hutch Cup 5th ODI against Pakistan in the death overs. That's the one I remember. that was an off cutter, not spin lol
