This is exactly why the 24 hr news media was instituted in the first place (it is pretty irrelevant otherwise). MSNBC was supposed to start coverage of SOTU speech at 8 pm. I was really looking forward to it and made home from work just in time. Now, 45 mins after 8 pm, its the Dorner drama that is still being covered. The State of the Union, not so important.
