rkt.india Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 offcourse its a ploy to derail and save captain cool.Bhajji is the one . Suddnely Bhajji became a must from nowhere who was dropped from the team last series.
Crookbond Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Suddnely Bhajji became a must from nowhere who was dropped from the team last series. These days the player who is not in the XI is a "must" - we have seen that earlier with Dinda et al.
Number Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 The decision to play Bhajji was proved right in the end as another offie(Ashwin) got a fifer.
CG Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Read the OP before wasting space in the cyber world. In post #29' date=' one poster plays Ojha/Harbhajan over Ashwin and then contradicts himself later saying Ashwin's place was never in doubt! :haha: My posts were towards those 'experts'.[/quote'] Op just pointed to stats and how dumb it was to drop ojha.

King Tendulkar Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Ridiculous team been picked. Full of bias, corruption, brand values thinking, IPL and stupidity.
urbestfriend Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Ridiculous team been picked. Full of bias' date=' corruption, brand values thinking, IPL and stupidity.[/quote'] Who would have you selected, if you are captain?
King Tendulkar Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Drop sehwag, bhaji, jadeja, dhoni, sachin, vijay. 6 out and i am not joking
King Tendulkar Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I am not even quibbling about 1 or 2 which is normal. 6 out. To be honest would have had shami in ahead of ishant or Kumar, so possibly 7 picks I disagree with
Sooda Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 For whom Ojha has been dropped? People saying Jadeja while Jadeja and OJha both played last test. It should either be Bhajji or BK then. Yes either Bhajji or BK. The playing XI should probably have not contained Bhajji as going in with just one pacer is not ideal, Could even have gone with Shwin at 7, Bhajji and Ojha and two pacemen, Ash is arguably better with the bat than RJ in test cricket. However it might be asking too much of him. Anyway the whole ' ball spinning away from lefties' theory might have some basis, but should not have been used to drop our best spin bowler. Youre right he is not great, but the best amongst our mediocre bunch. Have not watched the match at all but is Ash 6-fer an indication of how poor the Aussies were against spin...?
Sooda Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Drop sehwag' date=' bhaji, jadeja, dhoni, sachin, vijay. 6 out and i am not joking[/quote'] Lol, Agreed but asking too much especially for a series vs Aus... should have happened a while ago..
King Tendulkar Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Well how about spinner turning ball away from rightie as well. Even more reason to pick oijha as then your front line spinners are one who turns away from rightie and one away from leftie. Dumb picks
The Outsider Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Massively disappointed. I thought we had scraped the bottom of the barrel with regards to favoritism in the England series, but this continues to get worse.
King Tendulkar Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 The whole selction process makes me feel sick in the stomach. Never felt like this before about indian team and its proccesses
Sid Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Nothing to do with favouritsm here, this is a flawed logic which Dhoni uses that only off spinners do well against lefties and only left arm spinners do well against righties.Because of that kaptaan played both the offspinners. Dhoni was accused of favouring Ojha over Mishra I remember in 2010.Favourites dont change in matter of 2-3 years.
The Realist Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Massively disappointed. I thought we had scraped the bottom of the barrel with regards to favoritism in the England series' date=' but this continues to get worse.[/quote'] Agree. Until Dhoni & chums are got rid off this team is just steadily declining. There are just too many wrongs to right, a complete overhaul is needed.

All these logics are invented by Dhoni and his fanboys to camouflage Dhoni's favouritism.

It's not as if the entire Australian line up is left handed - Watson, Clarke, and Henriques are right handed. That's 3 out of the top 7. Using Dhoni's logic who was he expecting to dismiss them - Sir Jadeja?
