NareshK
and even more incredible is that Cheteshwar Pujara' date=' who has a List A average of 56.97 is left out in all ODIs against Pakistan. Not only are you making horrible pitches, you are leaving out your best players. theater of the absurd :(([/quote'] I think its futile to expect BCCI to do anything good for Indian cricket because just like all other organizations in India, they are just there to maintain status quo and earn money and strengthen their positions. Some individuals can rise above this like Sachin, Dravid, Laxman, Kumble, Zaheer did and punch above their weight and do well overseas but it wouldnt be because of BCCI. Link to comment

FischerTal
7batsmen+4 bowlers is what has always worked for us in ODIs.Its also the only way Che can come into the side I think he would be much better than No-hit Sharma and Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj, especially had more than enough opportunity against Pakistan and England. He looked clueless Link to comment
Crookbond
Talk about dropping Yuvraj from ODIs? 9,23, 61, 32, 30, 3, 0 are his scores in 2013. Link to comment
NareshK
I feel this should be our ODI side overseas. Pujara Gambhir (I think he is still a decent batsman in ODIs) Kohli Rahane/Ishank Jaggi/Rayudu Raina Dhoni Rohit/Tiwary/Jadeja Ashwin B Kumar Umesh Shami Ahmed Link to comment

NareshK
I dont think he should be dropped so soon His technique is suspect in overseas conditions and even against spin. That's why he couldnt succeed in test cricket. With 2 new balls rule, top 4 batsmen need to have a good technique when there is swing and seam movement on offer especially in SA, Eng and Aus. Yuvraj doesnt have that unfortunately. Link to comment

div
Sandeep looks like he bowls within himself in limited over games. He has been a bit expensive in List A so far with economy rate of over 6 and will take some time to get settled in this format. He probably bowls quicker in Ranji. Looks like a good bowler with decent height and good action and only 21 years of age, will get better as he bowls more. Average speed Shami -133 Nechim-130 Sandeep-132.8 speed gun problem :hmmm: Link to comment
Old guy
Average speed Shami -133 Nechim-130 Sandeep-132.8 speed gun problem :hmmm: nope average speed of 133 is respectable in domestic cricket also he is not a phaast bowler to begin with. dont know abt nechim Link to comment
Ankur Upadhyay
i have seen many indian bowlers increasing pace by 5+ kph in international matches than in domestic mathes. Link to comment

nsareen
Absurd west zone selection , Chirag Jani with Avg. of 65+ and strike rate of 100+ in List A not selected. Completely absurd, the guy is a destructive batsman with a medium pacer. Link to comment

NareshK
I don't think pitches in ODI cricket offer that swing & seam movement. There will be some help with the new ball for the first 12-15 overs or so in Eng, SA and Aus. Link to comment

Lord
facing swing bowling in Tests is lot different to ODIs.no sustained close in fielders, powerplays all work in batsmen's favour Dhoni,Raina do well in same conditions,no reason why Yuvraj can't either Link to comment
