lol thats what m saying too his avg is good in winning matches he is piss poor in the matches you lost. simlply shows he can never play well when the team is struggling even afridi can do well when the team is winning but to do well when the team is failing is what shows a player's true face/value

I wouldn't jump to this conclusion so early. Even Devang Gandhi made runs in his debut Test series

What is confirmed though is that neither Gambhir nor Sehwag are getting back into the Test team anytime soon, which is a good thing. Personally, I am a HUGE FAN of Sehwag. But, he deserved to be dropped. Nobody should have an automatic selection into the team based solely on performances in the distant past.

Here is something to consider: Starting of Jan 1'2011 the combination of Gambhir and Sehwag combined in a span of 60 innings approx. has an average of around 30 with just one Test century. That is right one century in 60 innings or so. Unacceptable. I think Sehwag should have been history a while back. In contrast Vijay and Dhawan in just this series will have 3 Test centuries, if Vijay gets another 15 runs today and Dhawan did not even play the first 2 Tests. Goes on to show how much GG/VS combo sucked but continued to hog the limelight.
