rkt.india Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Don't understand the hate for Raina' date=' Agreed he has not succeeded in the given opportunities but he is hard working , has willingness to play test cricket and scored decently in domestic cricket. Considering Rahane is going to get his chances in the middle order in Delhi, he is not that bad for 12th player , is he?[/quote'] Sometimes, it is not just about hard work.
rkt.india Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Interesting - any link? It was Raina's interview where he had said that.
Crookbond Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 It was Raina's interview where he had said that. I read that interview but didn't see Kirsten's name in it. Is there any link where he says that Kirsten said it?
CSK Fan Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 The moment they selected Sehwag, there goes your hopes. It cannot get any worse. I mean who in the right mind would select She-wag after the twin displays on the English and Aussie tours. Then they bring Tendulkar chamcha Harbhajan back, in a select Tendulkar get Harbhajan for free deal. So.... Is there any Indian player you respect?
someone Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Again, some people and their expert opinions on technique, skills. Haven't they also learned something from Dhawan, Vijay that players can improve and thus we cannot use an old time frame to judge them in present time. And the conspiracy theories is very much like our parosi. Boring and baseless
urbestfriend Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Sometimes' date=' it is not just about hard work.[/quote'] I understand that arguably there are better players in Indian domestic circuit who could have been selected, but Raina is not a bad selection albeit the lack of skill considering he is a good team man, decent bat at subcontinent , hard working and has hunger to succeed in longer format. Doesn't deserve the kind of hate he gets among the Indian fans.
Jersey #10 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Blind Hater ?:cantstop: Huh? I have Louisville winning the tourny on my bracket :hatsoff: And I am a huge Raina fan:antijinx:
saneindian Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Saying that Raina isn't exactly cut out for test cricket isn't hating him. And forget his problems against short ball or swing bowling, he's been found out against quality spin bowling in tests. Has got ample opportunities and failed on each of those in the last 18 months. Thats more than enough of a reward for his dedication, hardwork and attitude. After all these chances, only way he should have been recalled was once he had scored loads of runs in the FC cricket and not in the shorter formats.

I6MTW Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Even Yuvraj Singh is a better test batsmen then Raina.
