Yes, go off topic. :nice: Would love to see how hacks like Vijay do in SA, I hope I'm proved wrong & why can't he be in SA squad if he does well he does deserve a place and there is a certain person who hasn't scored a 100 since an "eternity" no one seems to have the nerve to have a go at him it seems. He makes an a very obvious and common statement it becomes a huge deal because he did not play that game. You guys should be in the media.
why this Vijay hate ? is scoring 2 150+ scores in a series against Aus not good enough to strart respecting him more ?

Vijay is very good. I don't know why people are bashing him.

Is Gauti taking a dig at Kohli?

Fresh faces in the India team with strong domestic credentials. It's great. People who are playing first class cricket know their performances will be recognised. It's not like a couple of years ago when people were coming straight from U-19 into the national team. Any regrets at not playing against Australia and being part of history? Not at all, I just want to keep improving as a player. Playing for India is my biggest motivation, but not the only one. As a sportsperson, I want to keep performing. I hadn't played for Delhi in a long time, so it felt great to be back. That we won the Vijay Hazare Trophy (national ODI tournament) after 17-18 years made it doubly special… I just want to make runs that help my team win. I don't want to complicate things. I want to keep my cricket and my life simple by scoring runs.
http://www.hindustantimes.com/Cricket/CricketNews/Everything-in-India-is-blown-out-of-proportion-Gautam-Gambhir/Article1-1033973.aspx A dangerous answer in the 2nd quote. The headline could well have read " Playing for India is not Gambhir's main motivation" :P

vijay was clueless when ball started swinging.
You could say the same thing for any batsman from sub continent. I would go out on a limb and say no batsman will be really comfortable when the ball swings and seams around with good pace and bounce, even the ones from Eng, SA and Aus.

What a slimy little ****. When this loser was getting humiliated by the Aussie quicks, he was whining about how the pitches were too green, how India would get revenge in Australia, how he and Sehwag were the best and other moronic excuses, but now that he has been deservedly shoved out of the team like one throws out some trash, he has the nerve to talk about how winning overseas is what counts? One of the most petty, pathetic players around. Its a great shame because till the 2011 World Cup his attitude was completely different. But classic case of just a couple of years of success going to this guy's head and he has become a thoroughly detestable character these days. Happy to see him out of the Indian team - he can carry on like an idiot in the tamasha league.

They would love it. Cooking up stories! Great going..way to go. :hatsoff:

Gambhir's attitude is what pleases me ... He is not a diplomat that he will weigh all of his words and then post it on twitter. We should not read much into all these comments. He will always remain one of the better Indian openers across formats and can still be back to do well if he just improves his technique a little more especially the poking thing.

gauti isnt diminishing team india's triumph over oz. he is saying the truth. it doesnt have any bearing on whether he is in team or not. its simple, teams are judged primarily on ability to tour overseas. that has been the standard before gambhir and will be standard after gambhir retires
