bhumika Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 What are you expectations of the SA Tour ? I would be happy with 2 - 1 loss or a draw . you can call me pessimistic but considering the recent tours this is good. We need to win at least one match. No clean sweap :om:. You are expectations from the players if any ? I would want our openers to perform even if they can avg 35-40 at the end of test series it will be great. Dhawan looked against bouncers in mohali. I am expecting him and pujara to perform. I have a feeling dhoni might perform on this tour. Bowling I am expecting bhuvi and yadav to put a good show.
JaFanatic Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 India to register its first ever test series win in SA :ohyeah:
Vilander Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 0-3 , ind will score between 30-150 runs in each innings.
bhumika Posted March 29, 2013 Author Posted March 29, 2013 @just a fan Wish it too. But we dont have good bowlers who can run through amla to number 9 . All of them can bat.
Vanarp22 Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 India to fail. We might win at most one match but our bowlers will be nowhere near the quality of Steyn, Morkel, Philander, etc. Also, it might be a good idea to try out some new bowlers because since we would lose anyway, we could put one of rasool, kaul, pandey, etc. in the squad and at least they should all be put on the A tour. Imagine what would happen if they actually performed, then they would be a fixture in the side hopefully at the expense of the "unlucky" bowler Ishant Sharma.
JaFanatic Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 @just a fan Wish it too. But we dont have good bowlers who can run through amla to number 9 . All of them can bat. m confident about umesh doing well there B-> conditions will suit shami and bhuvi too but not sure how well they gonna utilise it
FischerTal Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 2-1 most likely, unless openers give good start to build upon.
Junyfan Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 South Africa is very strong team,if they do not choke against the like of jadeja and Ishant no way India can draw or win a single test,
JaFanatic Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 plenty of rain it wont rain no mercy for saffers this time
FischerTal Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 it wont rain no mercy for saffers this time If Bhuvi can pick up early wickets, with Shami in tandem there is hope, just like how both operated on A tours.
adi B Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 South Africa is very strong team' date='if they do not choke against the like of jadeja and Ishant no way India can draw or win a single test,[/quote'] then how hell did india drew 1-1 against them just 2 years back and could have won 2-1
JaFanatic Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 If Bhuvi can pick up early wickets' date=' with Shami in tandem there is hope, just like how both operated on A tours.[/quote'] yes yadav can operate the old ball so it sounds ok now lets wait and see what happens when the tour starts
Junyfan Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 then how hell did india drew 1-1 against them just 2 years back and could have won 2-1 I am not saying they were not good but they were not ruthless enough to be beaten by an aging indian team, they are now quality and Quality but choking is not impossible.
adi B Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I am not saying they were not good but they were not ruthless enough to be beaten by an aging indian team' date='they are now quality and Quality but choking is not impossible.[/quote'] i hope they choke in durban, this time we will have a better pace attack than last time..umesh,bhuvi,aaron(if fit),shami, zak would be handful i guess
