Magneto Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Can you guys pinpoint where they go wrong? They have half decent bowling attack. They have no finishers, no middle order and only one opener. Plus, horrible batting order, and the inability to leverage correctly whatever talent they might have. Also, lack of Indian batting talent is a big issue.

Pune Warriors honestly lack match winners with the bat - no one other than Finch and Smith. And even Smith only gets to play only 3-4 overs mostly. The tail is horrible - can't even hold the bat. They should have at least won today and both the SRH matches. Horrible batting P.S. Matthaus used to be one of my favourite footballers.

The whole team has to work on a strategy together be it is chasing or setting targets. Looking at the stat.. it is not surprising why they failed as a team. Finch, Smith, Wright have good strike rates. All 3 were not first choices in the first few matches. Yuvi was also out for a while. Wrong team selection in the early part of the game was definitely one of the reason.
