PBN Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Firstly, let's talk about the crowd. Amazing atmosphere in the stands today. Hats off to the fans...it looked like a full house. Probably the best turnout in the history in my opinion. They really liked the Punjabi music in between the overs and the announcer made sure there were loud cheers. Saw both of the India/KXIP fans , the little boy and the other dude that paints himself the team colours, Babbu :hatsoff:

PBN Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Onto the game, even after losing the wickets, we still had a fairly good rate up until the 16th overs. After Hussey got out, they just collapsed. The KXIP batsmen especially in the latter stages, erred in trying to clear the boundaries when instead they should have used the pace of the outfield going for fours. This was crucial brought the downfall for Vohra, Mandeep, Hussey, Satish,etc. A couple of missed chances off Chawla's bowling and that runout call meant no breakthoughs to create any sort of pressure. Positives: Manan Vohra is an exciting prospect...just needs to check his temperament and he'll be alright. Gurkeerat and Hussey spent quality time in the middle and this augers well for future games. Improvement: Need to utilize a second spinning allrounder who can come in and bowl a few overs. Either use Hussey as a backup spinner or bring in another indian player like Bipul if the conditions demand it.
