Sidhoni Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 He played really well along with MOTS Dhoni in that ODI series in the England tour. Both of them took England apart together 2-3 times in the series.
BeautifulGame Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 LOL....either u haven't watched the match or u know very little about cricket. He was clearly worked out by johnson. First a short ball which was played ungainly by Raina.....then a ball angling in which was played all over by raina. We could clearly see' date= Raina was expecting an other short ball and played on the back foot. But ideally he should have been on the front foot. :cantstop: The 2nd ball was given one bouncer per over. And MI also shuffled their field after the 2nd ball moving the square leg fielder finer. So there is nothing to say he was expecting a bouncer.Just the pace got the better of him and he played a poor shot.
BeautifulGame Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I would have Manoj Tiwary over Raina for the champions trophy anyday of the week. our middle order out the subcontinent should be Pujara Kohli Yuvi Dhoni Tiwary thats the middle order I till go with. For the champions trophy considering Pujara is injured i will have Opener Opener Kohli Yuvi Dhoni Tiwary Jadeja/ Pathan Yuvi was worked out by Mishra in just 2 deliveries. Will be eaten alive by the likes of Swann so no point taking him either.
The Outsider Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Raina wasn't worked over by Jhonson yesterday he just played a poor shot really. So it's a pointless thread to start with really :hysterical::hysterical: Even some imbecile watching cricket for the first time would have noticed the set up by Johnson.
BeautifulGame Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 :hysterical::hysterical: Even some imbecile watching cricket for the first time would have noticed the set up by Johnson. What set up? Please explain. Fact is one bouncer per over was up and Ponting moved square leg finer. So it was pretty clear Johnson wasn't bowling short and Raina was beaten for sheer pace.
someone Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 So 1 match failure discounts all the success he has had both local and overseas. Poor logic.
Crookbond Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Check out Bishop's commentary on the Raina FOW QOYemrc9X6s

The restriction is only on the number of bouncers above shoulder height, otherwise the bowler can bowl as many short deliveries as he wants. It was obvious to anyone that Raina was hanging back expecting another short ball. Listen to commentary around the time of the dismissal.
rkt.india Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Little use. It is more mental than technical. He does not get out on bouncers often but on followup fuller balls. His issue is his defensive technique which is poor. He is never balanced at the crease while defending and finds it difficult so he resorts to attack every now and then. He does not need to go to England. Face 20 overs of bowling machine at quick pace daily and then see how it works for him.
