SIddarth Kaul,Sandeep Sharma, Mohit Sharma and Manpreet Gony all are talented young fast bowlers. But sadly they wont get the chance they deserve unless they move to the south.

Akram has always looked like a fast medium bowler than a genuine quick. 2 seasons of fast bowling make him an express :haha:, if thats the case then umesh yadav is the fastest indian bowler of all time and should be labelled express after all he clocked 152k in aus.

Number Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Have you ever heard of this guy called, Kapil Dev? This man was easily best fast bowler we have ever produced. Also speaking of Punjab, if it was wasnt for our Punjabi cricketers our team would be nothing. Take out Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir and Sehwag than this team would be of minnow standard. Not being a regionalist but it is a fact Punjab has produced the most number of great cricketers. Kapil Dev was from Haryana. I just said Punjab has not produced a single fast bowler, which is true. Anyway Sehwag's native is Jhajhar in Haryana. Gambhir and Kohli are Punjabis living in Delhi.

Karnataka has Srinath, Kumble, Chandrasekhar who will be among top 7-8 bowlers India have produced. Then Rahul Dravid who is probably the 3rd best test batsman from India.

Punjab doesn't even have a cricketer in our test team. and for people claiming roots it makes zero sense.

MCcricket Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I think this region has been neglected by BCCI for ages, we have the best fast bowling talents from U.P , BIHAR, JHARKHAND, talent was simply not tapped, Aaron, Tyagi, Shukla, Umesh and Pankaj Singh also is originally from there, we could have fast bowlers all thru but BCCI are to be blamed also zaidi Ihear had pace n should have played among several players we don't even know off.

Amla wouldn't be same batsman if he had grown up in India.

As i said, i dont think anyone except for Kapil Dev from that list you provided are actually Punjabi by any definition of the word.
