Didn't race ahead. There was a vacancy. The new Indian kids will prolly face the same problem kids in the 2000s faced - lack of spots. Earliest to break in will be Samson as I don't see Dhoni play 2019 WC.

Grade A raina sucks at moment and will flop in aus world cup. Rest raina for an odi series and try one of these young guns, they may be better. Yuvraj in odis also needs a good series, if he fails again slot may come availabe in odis. And if these guys take a chance in odis, they may like so many before start pushing for test place. I would certainly not mind trying one of these new guys in a odi series

Not saying drop him but he in next 6 months imo needs to pull his finger out. I also would not be adverse to rsting him for a series or game or two to give a kid some exposure. Yuvi also needs to pull finger out and again dont mind him missing a game or two of meanigless odis to give a kid some exposure

He will never have the stats to back him as a world-class batman because he comes way down in the batting order and yet has played crucial knocks several times.

But his backfoot game is good that's why he scored in aus(u19). If he can work on this he can be a solid opener for india in future. At the end of this ranji season we will know how much he has improved.

I would get one in sooner rather then later for odd game or series

All I know Zol, Unadkat, aparjith are serious young talents and I would look to get the best one in sooner rather then later in odis at some point or another.
