Crookbond Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Remember Azhar scoring 24 off Ata-ur-Rehman's last over and taking India above 300 (for the first time). I think it was the Dhaka Independence cup in 1997. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/65757.html Great knock. One of earlier memories of cricket yea.. Tendulkar pushed him onto ground When Azhar was deliberating whether to go or not. Azhar was in horrendous form. Great game but I remember the little master dropping an F bomb on Saqlain Mushtaq after taking his wicket. :--D This is also the same game where Sidhu threatened Aamir Sohail and Sohail backed off like a poosie. uepC5PBggHQ
ganeshran Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 It was in Sharjah where Sachin and Sidhu both got 100' date='s .[/quote'] Yup this was the game. I came back from school and we were close to 240 / 2 in 40 overs. It was unprecedented. What followed was even more entertaining
ganeshran Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Jayasuriya vs Manoj prabakar.. probably that over finished his career. He gave close to 33 runs in 2 overs during that spell. Got a lot of stick for it in the press next day
Sarkar Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 when sachin massacred the whole pakistani phaast bowlers all around the centurion nothing beats that 98 0ff 75 balls
Austin 3:!6 Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 My favourite over is the one where Bhajji hits overhyped Aamir for a six in the last over of Asia cup to with the match. B->
Number Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 My favourite over is the one where Bhajji hits overhyped Aamir for a six in the last over of Asia cup to with the match. B-> It was already over by the time when Akhtar and Ajmal were smashed by Bhajji and Raina.:giggle: Got a bit interesting in the last over due to runout else we were in control.
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Tendulkar v Akthar WC 2003. Akhtar to tendulkar. Waqar to Ajay Jadeja Gul to Sehwag Le li the bowlers ki...bhagwan bhagwan ko ksote rahe zindagi bhar....
fineleg Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 May not be a memorable 'over', but a memorable event in the over: Kapil Dev's catch of Viv Richards in WC 1983 TuHhB7eQGJk
Subeshkumar Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 the best thrilling one was between south africa and australia in 1999 world cup semi final. just loved it a lot that was really a breathtaking...
phaedrus Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Some of the ones not mentioned already (i think) Tendulkar's last over in the Hero Cup Tom Moody's last over in India-Australia match in the 92 World Cup. Last over of the South Africa-England match in the 92 world cup First over by Srinath in the 96 world cup semi final against Sri Lanka.
Crookbond Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Douglas Marillier vs Zaheer Khan (?) If I'm not wrong, Zimbabwe required some 60 odd runs in the last 5 overs and won the game thanks to the Marillier scoop. He almost managed to pull that off against Australia chasing a 300+ total and IIRC fell short by 1 or 2 runs.
Chalks Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 One of Robbie's - Abdul Razzaq hitting five fours in a row off Glenn McGrath, Sydney ODI 2000. M4_7qUcfGLo That too in a summer where McGrath was utterly dominant.
Sachin=GOD Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 shoaib akhtar's 1st over in the 2003 World Cup vs India.
the don Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Just watched anwar slaughtering kumble during his record breaking innings of 194 in chennai in a fb video, the over went something like this 6,6,6,4 phew , breathtaking stuff, the look on kumble`s face was just :(( , although nothing can beat the look on kumble`s face after shahid afridi massacred him in kanpur :haha:
the don Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 akhtars 3 wicket over against the saffers , beat every single one of them for pace , all of them had their stumps rearranged , sheer brutality . remember a double wicket over from akhtar in a test match against Newzealand in 40 degree heat of lahore after inzimam had smashed a triple century , every singly ball in that over was above 97 mph , unheard of speeds in test cricket and that too in 40 degree heat . poor kiwis were blown away that day :nervous:
div Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Just watched Yuvraj slaughtering Ajmal ..6,6,6 .The look on aAjmal's face was just:(( Although nothing can beat the look on Ajmal's face after Hussey massacred him in West Indies:hysterical:

Yuvraj was called back into the side for the 4th game and a tense win was registered. Confirmed - 33 balls, 64 runs to win. Now, that is amazing even by T20 standards. 7BwE_49f2tA
