suraj Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Walsh's last over to Pakistan in 1987 world cup :( When I watched this match I thot Walsh must be one of the laziest players around - his bowling & fielding seemed so frigging careless it was not even funny On top of that he had the chance to run out the non-striker for being way out of his crease and decided to go for the "sportsman spirit" award instead :giggle::giggle:
vvvslaxman Posted April 11, 2013 Author Posted April 11, 2013 Ok this is not memorable over for everyone. As an Indian fan.. i would even say memorable ball for me. india's first ever ODI win in Pakistan. Whole Pakistan was making deafening noise while Pakistan sensing a win. Saqlain was bowling to Rajesh Chauhan. He planted his frontfoot swept him for six. Absolute pin drop silence . Epic over as an Indian fan.
Crookbond Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Watch out for Bill Lawry's commentary. A lot of people forget that Donald almost did a Klusener the previous ball. KFidhkDg1DQ
diga Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 memorable for wrong reasons - Zaheer's opening over against Aus in 2003 world cup

WillowLove Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 yes waqar-jadeja is the mother of all ODI overs.. great theatre.. amazing crowd and at a india vs pak game in a world cup..!
StatsRock Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Ok this is not memorable over for everyone. As an Indian fan.. i would even say memorable ball for me. india's first ever ODI win in Pakistan. Thats not correct. India did win an ODI v Pak in 1978 and another in 1982. The memorable part of of the above game(1997) was a couple of overs earlier when Waqar bowled to Karim. 1st over of this 2nd spell, the crowd banging mineral water bottles. Waqar bowls loosener, yorker-line, misses stumps. 4 more attempted yorkers, swinging in, misses stumps, Karim swings and misses. Last ball...CRACK! back go the stumps and it's a maiden wicket.
Detonator Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 India vs Pakistan in 1996 WC.. Jadeja's slaughtering of Waqar Younis, hammering 18 and 22 runs.. that 22 run over still in my eyes..
BeautifulGame Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 The independence cup final in Dhaka Kanitkar slog sweeping Saqlain to win.
