vvvslaxman Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 As on date 5/15/2013 Highlighted bowlers are opening bowlers who have maintained a decent ER over the season.
vvvslaxman Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 Overall Bhuvan is the standout bowler. Bowling inside power play and at the death. Such figures are excellent. PK i am surprised at his numbers. Gony has also done half decent job. Mohit sharma has done a good job for CSK.
vvvslaxman Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 Dinda, Awana, Umesh disappointing numbers
Texan Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 As expected, BK and PK impress due to their ability to move the ball. BK more so since he can do it at a better pace and with more accuracy. Equally expected - Nehra and Dinda turning out cr@ppy economy rates due to their cr@ppy bowling. Why the hell does India pick these bowlers is a mystery.
rkt.india Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Dinda' date=' Awana, Umesh disappointing numbers[/quote'] Umesh 3rd highest wicket taker. How disappointing?
Zelig Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Cricket is just a hobby for Nehra. Don't take his stats seriously :agree:
saneindian Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Dinda will surely lose his India spot now, even Shami Ahmed may become a casualty of being out of sight, out of mind. Vinay Kumar , probably will walk into the CT squad now :(( Rhiti Singh has been very good in 3 matches, off colour in two of them. Hopefully doesn't get picked though. Given the deadline of 6th May for CT squad announcement, our pace attack could be - Bhuvan , Ishant, Umesh, Vinay, PK
rkt.india Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 We still know what happened to VK and PK on last England tour in ODIs.
BeautifulGame Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 IMO Unadkat has been the most impressive Indian seamer this season
philcric Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 IMO Unadkat has been the most impressive Indian seamer this season May not be most impressive, but he's done alright. My heart sank when he opened RCB's campaign, but he bowled good in almost all the games.
vvvslaxman Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 Umesh 3rd highest wicket taker. How disappointing? MY bad i read his ER wrong. Yea he did alright though he bowled some crucial overs bad.
vishalvirsingh Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Wait for a few More Matches Umesh Yadav will Grab Maximum Wickets The batters did not Support DD bowlers so there was hardly any pressure on opposition All other Indian pacers in this list is no where in competetion with Umesh.... I have been also impreSsed with Ishant in IPL.....VK has got wickets bcos RCB has scored so many runs that opposition batsman go to hit him all the time and hence he has got Wickets

That is the kind of respect our bowlers have to earn.
carnish Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Remember VK bowls most games at Bangalore ... he is the best we have.
vvvslaxman Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 Dinda is abysmal. 9.82 ER half way through the tournament.
rkt.india Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 MY bad i read his ER wrong. Yea he did alright though he bowled some crucial overs bad. Yes. He has been hot and cold, could do better by doing away with his tendency to bowl short every now and then.

That is the kind of respect our bowlers have to earn. BK has come off age, no doubt about it, compared to last season. His decent stint with team India has done a world of good to his bowling and confidence.
vvvslaxman Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 Half way stage Vinnie Kumar is leading the pack
Pagalpanti Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 RP Singh really brings up his A-game during IPL. Yeah he had the no-ball thing but His stats are better than the likes of Bhuvy, Yadav - regulars for India atm.
