SLICKR392
It was not BK. it was others who bowled to Gayle when he was at his rampant best for first 30 balls. He slowed down after that intentionally as he admitted that in post match interview. Doesn't really matter. It was in the middle overs and I'm not saying that he would have got the better of Gayle but that was some Eco. compared to the others. He bowled well in the start as well, be it Dilshan or Gayle. Those were good figured considering the eco. of others.
vvvslaxman
Gayle has had his issues in T20 against Kulasekara. In the 3 matches he played against him, faced 19 balls made only 7 runs losing his wicket twice to him. Bhuvan these days is somewhat similar to Kulasekara. Mind you this is a belter of a wicket. CSK Fan
But BK still bowled only 3 bowls to Gayle of his first 3 overs which were first 3 balls of the innings which Gayly as usually took easy to gauge the pitch. Exclude them and there is 10 runs in 4 balls at an SR 250. I will wager and say that if BK had bowled more to Gayle with the new wicket, he would have taken his wicket. Ram
BK will be a legend' date=' he is our Asif, wait and watch[/quote'] So Bhuvi is going to take contraband drugs across airport security, take forced vacation in the Bahamas to avoid ICC dope testing and indulge in spot-fixing and spend time in an UK jail? :(( Damn, I had such high hopes of Bhuvi. rkt.india
The thing is.. he can do. But he didn't in this match. 7 balls are enough for him to do that damage. If he had bowl more balls to Gayle in first 6 overs, you would have had a completely different story. Why Gayle started to go for everything because of rain. Mind you BK is not a rookie at this level. While the ones you named are complete rookies. He has grown in confidence after a good season with team India. rkt.india
5.1 Kumar to Dilshan, 1 run, length ball, on the middle, pushed to mid-off for a single 5.2 Kumar to Gayle, SIX, Ho ho! That is a six and one of the most effortless ones you would see on a cricket field, no back lift, does not move too much, just tees off over the bowler! 5.3 Kumar to Gayle, no run, short of length, on the off stump, cut away to the fielder at point 5.4 Kumar to Gayle, SIX, another one, six over long-on, and this was expansive, pitched outside the off stump and Gayle gave his full extension of arms, it is gone many miles 5.5 Kumar to Gayle, SIX, another one, third of the over, smacked over long-on yet again, and Gayle's making them pay for the run-out miss earlier. Three in four balls. Rahul Sharma's not even come on to to bowl. 5.6 Kumar to Gayle, SIX, and that is the fourth, almost an inevitable one, pitched up outside the off stump, and the Jamaican has bludgeoned it over long-off this time. The man is on fire. No really! Here is that over from last year of BK.
