Crookbond Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Against Malinga it was pure skill. He moved across the stumps played yorkers through vacant fine leg for fours. Against Umesh he just got he wanted. Umesh gave him on a platter. Length balls. Kohli has a unique technique and it works against Malinga. In particular, Kohli's wrists help him play Malinga really well. Also, Kohli knows Malinga won't get bounce due to his sling-like action. Kohli stays low, medium back lift and then uses his powerful wrists to motor Malinga yorkers away. The kind of bowler against whom Kohli will struggle is the one who gets some kind of bounce from back of a length. Also, if there is some help from the pitch Kohli will struggle.
rkt.india Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 He bowled without any intensity yesterday. Looked disinterested with no real intent. aimless bowling. Good length is of no good in T20. Only good length is yorker. If you bowl yorkers and a batsman like ABDV hit, then one can do anything, but basic stuff is bowl yorkers, if not at least lower full tosses, you will more chances of getting high edges. Good length balls are bread and butter on such pitches.
rkt.india Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Didn't he get thrashed last year too in some game. Probably against RCB or CSK ? that was Aaron against CSK.

He may not score so prolific against them but saying the future ATG will struggle against some kind of bowlers is hahakari. :protest:
rkt.india Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Siddarth Kaul bowled much better to both Kohli and ABDV. Even Vinay Kumar went for 43 and bowled to much worse batsmen, imagine if he had bowled to Kohli and ABDV.
Vilander Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I meant "pace friendly" wickets. those will help Indian batsman and pace bowlers A lot. You guys will start produce Green Track bullies in no-time. Aint no use of having similar conditions in IPL 1st of all, locals barely get to play much due to shortness, and the fact that they have to slog most of the time, and the bowlers bowl yorkers, and not good length delivery except for the first few overs what are you on about here ?
adi B Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 This Umesh yadav that,s why he has 6.25 econ rate in odi after around 18 Odi matche,s Umesh Yadav is nothing special And some Indian Fan,s Where comparing him with Irfan and Junaid but but umesh is miles better than the paki pacers in tests. tbh umesh is suited to bowl with the heavy red ball ,in CT particularly in english pitches he will do well
Hafeez Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 but but umesh is miles better than the paki pacers in tests. tbh umesh is suited to bowl with the heavy red ball ,in CT particularly in english pitches he will do well Junaid khan 3 five wicket haul,s in Test at Flat died Pitche,s in Asia
adi B Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I thought he learnt from super over assault from ABDV or even learnt from his previous over in this match i would be least arsed even if he conceded 100 in 4 ovrs in the tamasha league, would reserve my comments on him and other indian bowlers till they bowl on pacer friendly wickets in CT. just hope he bowls well for india doesnt matter if he gets smacked in ipl for all i care
JaFanatic Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 i would be least arsed even if he conceded 100 in 4 ovrs in the tamasha league, would reserve my comments on him and other indian bowlers till they bowl on pacer friendly wickets in CT. just hope he bowls well for india doesnt matter if he gets smacked in ipl for all i care he is the best fast bowler in asia atm :agree:
adi B Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Junaid khan 3 five wicket haul' date='s in Test at Flat died Pitche,s in Asia [/quote'] against a 3rd class test team i.e lanka :hatsoff:
adi B Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 he is the best fast bowler in asia atm :agree: bowls class outswingers.hope he does well on english pitches and overcast conditions which will help him
JaFanatic Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 against a 3rd class test team i.e lanka :hatsoff: which got spanked by a 2nd string bangladesh team
JaFanatic Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 bowls class outswingers.hope he does well on english pitches and overcast conditions which will help him dont think he'll do well in CT but watch out for the sa tests :aha:
express bowling Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 You're making a judgment on pedigree. It's not because ABDV messed his mind up' date=' it's because Umesh couldn't bowl full lengths that he was carted around that over. He kept on bowling length balls after a decent start to the over.[/quote'] This. Umesh does not even try to bowl sufficient yorkers at the death and that is just stupid. Bowling length balls at the death, does not make any sense at all. Apart from one or two matches, I don't recall Umesh even trying to bowl sufficient yorkers at the death.
Hafeez Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 against a 3rd class test team i.e lanka :hatsoff: 3rd class team SL have Flat tarack Bunny,s so it is very hard to bowl against them on Flat Pitche,s
JaFanatic Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 against a 3rd class test team i.e lanka :hatsoff: its still not easy for the 4th class bowling attack to bowl them out, so we gotta appreciate that  p.s: btw how many no balls did they bowl in that series :hmmm:

Check him out in South Africa.
