vvvslaxman Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 . being an Ind captain, he has to take a hard stand? why stupidity has no bounds. If there is someone in BCCI bet for India in the CT and found out , then Dhoni should show his protest by not playing?
Texan Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I see absolutely no reason why Dhoni should step down and I fail to see how his CSK captaincy is in conflict with his role as the Indian captain. please dont bring Dhoni into this mess' date='he has done nothing wrong other than play well for CSK.[/quote'] Exactly. Don't understand why Dhoni is being unnecessarily dragged into this controversy.
Pagalpanti Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 If BCCI president resigns, I hope common sense prevails and the final is called off. I cant believe how the experts and commentators are acting as if nothing is happening outside IPL. Its just mockery of the sport.
vandokkum Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Are you Indian first or human first? I am not a fan of Dhoni but this question is laughable... but Dhoni should definitely be removed as test captain

ravishingravi Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Man has pulled out of test matches because he was too tired from IPL. So, this would be bridge too far.
Sean Bradley Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Man has pulled out of test matches because he was too tired from IPL. So' date=' this would be bridge too far.[/quote'] I am not a fan of Dhoni, but i don't remember him doing that...
saneindian Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Yeah, Dhoni should boycott the finals while Mr. Hattangadi would carry on commentating about IPL as an expert! How cute and convenieint.

I cant believe how the experts and commentators are acting as if nothing is happening outside IPL. Its just mockery of the sport. because they've been paid to do so :dontknow: I've heard that in the last one week there not been a single mention of the word "fixing" in the studio or commentary box in IPL and everyone is acting as if everything is absolutely normal. THis can only happen if there are strict directives from the BCCI to not mention anything about the off the field activities.

But how they act like nothing is happened beyond me :hatsoff:

I do agree that such high moral position are sort of urban legend for our low standards. But in very ideal situation, a nation's cricket captain can be expected to ask questions about what is happening in the game in his team and country and what is he choosing to associate with. Ofcourse King Dhoni an establishment guy through and through. He is BCCI chairman material.
bulbul Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 I think legends like Sachin,Rahul should condemn this openly and walk out of IPL.

Yes but just look at the names of experts, they're there from all over the world. If even they decide to not speak up against this mess just because BCCI is throwing money at them, then this sport is way beyond damage control.

[b']If even they decide to not speak up against this mess just because BCCI is throwing money at them, then this sport is way beyond damage control. yeah, its a really sad situation. But the simple fact is that money speaks - most of these former cricketers have earned more from commentary than what they earned in their entire cricket career and doing commentary in Indiapways even better because of the high ratings etc so as long as they are being paid, they'll say whatever they have been told to say :( I don't expect any of these to come out and make a strong statement against the BCCI.
Sidhoni Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Dhoni wont stand for the nation' date= its a great opportunity for him to be a National Robin Hood. But he just doesn't have it in him, he is mere a Srini puppet. I think you guys do know the guy is very patriotic and wants to join the army once he retires. he always wanted to go to the army if he hadn't become a cricketer.
