it can extend to any field (science, economics, law, social work, etc) State your top 5 geniuses who have contributed vastly to humanity and advanced it in a positive manner whether by their research, intellectual wisdom, etc. State their profession. Also, if you want to, give a reason why you picked them. i am a science and economics/law lover so for me it would have to be 1)Richard Epstein-law professor :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: 2) Milton Friedman (RIP)- economic thinker :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: i consider him modern 3) Peter Higgs- physicist :hail: :hail: :hail: 4) J Craig Venter- biologist :hail: :hail: 5) Grigori Perelman-mathematician :hail: even though i still dont understand Riemannian geometry :(( special mention to Gary Kasparov and Bobby Fischer

see OP' date=' geniuses who contributed to humanity in positive manner.[/quote'] and they have also contributed positively. Only thing is the definition of "humanity" - its quite vague so in their case it means immediate family and close friends.

Steve jobs - marketing.
Steve jobs had flawless products to market. Surely he is genius in various fields. What he did with Pixar was absolutely one of the best decisions of that decade. No offence to him, but I would prefer someone who succeeded great with an ordinary product.
