KeyboardWarrior Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Home Paki umpires = do whatever you want. The English and the West Indies umpires took some time to catch on but by late 80s they knew what was up. England and Aussies were not involved in bottlecaps, scuffing the seam or rolling the ball back to their players. eng and aus were doing vasilne things on the field if i remember and rolling the balls too. check the record plz. its double standard , nothing much :headshake:

Muloghonto Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 eng and aus were doing vasilne things on the field if i remember and rolling the balls too. check the record plz. its double standard , nothing much :headshake: They did the vaseline thing in the mid 1970s, got busted for it and didnt do it any further and no, nobody but the Pakis returned the ball on the roll to their bowlers in the 80s. None but the Pakis did it.
Muloghonto Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Amir sohail just want's to be chief of PCB Or that he is genuinely concerned about Paki cricket and wishes to point out that the so-called Paki heroes are doing more harm than good by reinforcing a culture of cheating in the team. Certainly, Pakistan has had far greater number of players busted for fixing/cheating than any other nation, so this viewpoint does have credible merit to it.
KeyboardWarrior Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 The Pakistani cricket team when they were together in 1992 accused of ball-tampering to achieve large amounts of reverse swing. However, no evidence of wrongdoing was ever found in that series. Because of these allegations, in 1996, Imran Khan sued Ian Botham for slander and libel in a British court, and was awarded £400,000. ok..
Muloghonto Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 ok.. failure to prove guilt does not equate to innocent every single time. There are plenty of times where obvious guilty parties are released scot free because the prosecution failed to prove their case, mostly to do with incorrect handling of evidence. Botham failed to prove his charge against Imran. Not surprised, since the actual evidence is itself missing ( Botham or Imran did not produce any of the actual balls from the matches in concern) and without any primary evidence, there can be no successful proof. Imran got away because he knew that without actually producing the balls in question as evidence and then proving that these balls were held in sealed capacity after Imran tampered with them, Botham's case would boil down to hear-say and thus, libel. a legal victory for Imran but he is still a cheat.

moniker Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 so be it' date=' batsman also get rules which help them cheat e.g. a ball that pitches outside leg which may go on to hit the stumps can never be given LBW, stupid rule.[/quote'] If the ball is pitched on or outside the leg stump line, the batsman would be able to see the ball with only one eye, unless he is Chanderpaul (because of his two eyed stance), making it difficult for him to grasp the trajectory. It is called the batsman blind spot, or something like that. That's why you have that rule.

Muloghonto Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 according to your post thn its mean every single intl cricket match from last 40 yrs or so is doubtful in terms of ball tempring ' date=' wethre its pakistan , eng , aus etc etc ...[/quote'] Not really, since in case of Pakistani team, there is not enough indictable evidence but plenty of ancillary evidence that points to ball tampering. In the case of other nations, there is no ancillary evidence either. Certainly, in case of England, the amount of ancillary evidence is orders of magnitude lesser than in Paki cases. There is a huge gulf of difference between indictable evidence and ancillary evidence, similarly between ancillary evidence and virtually no evidence.
velu Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Dude I am really sick and tired of you guys attitude on this forum. Hounded and you guys? Most people here have been incessantly picking on every small thing about Sachin for a while now. No one can dare say one good thing on this forum about Sachin nowadays without you guys completely coming in and blasting those things to bit. There is no word of praise for Sachin on these forums for a long time and if it is, it is criticized heavily. And on the other hand, there are many, many troll posts criticizing him almost everyday, from IPL, to his 100 to whatever is the latest flavor. Point me to a couple of positive posts/threads about him. I can point you to countless negative ones And after all that, you actually have the gall, to come and say you are the ones being hounded? Just because one or two Sachin supporters actually try to stem the negative flow and defend him? An Indian legend on an Indian forum? Really, is that how low you guys have stopped? Nope, its Sachin and his fans who are hounded here for a while now calm down MTC :sniffle: you made me cry
velu Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 so be it' date=' batsman also get rules which help them cheat e.g. a ball that pitches outside leg which may go on to hit the stumps can never be given LBW, stupid rule.[/quote'] LBW rule is perfectly fine .. when the ball pitches outside leg , it falls on batsmens blind spot .. batsmen cant see the ball properly .. :nervous:

bulbul Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 LBW rule is perfectly fine .. when the ball pitches outside leg , it falls on batsmens blind spot .. batsmen cant see the ball properly .. :nervous: But many batsmen thrsah such balls to boundary or six :dontknow:
moniker Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 But many batsmen thrsah such balls to boundary or six :dontknow: Not when the ball is angling in from around the wicket. It is difficult to get a proper view of the ball in that case. Batsmen thrash those leg stump balls when they are delivered from over the wicket, and the angle will take those balls down the leg stump anyway.
jalebi_bhai Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 But many batsmen thrsah such balls to boundary or six :dontknow: That is when the ball is drifting down the leg-side......not when it is pitched on leg-stump........
yoda Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 So so a member of the Pakistani team finally confirms what everyone else already knew based on TV evidence that Pakistani bowlers have cheated with coke caps and ball tampering. That said, it still doesn't take away from the fact that Pakistan has produced some excellent fast bowlers. Reverse swing was not the only weapon in their arsenal. They did quite well with the new ball too.
