With this Champions trophy win, India has managed to win 6 global tourneys so far... 2 World Cups 1 T20 Cup 2 Champions Trophy 1 Benson & Hedges World Championship of Cricket (the mini world cup where we beat Pak in the final and Shastri won an Audi. Australia has also won 6 world titles - 4 world cups and 2 Champions Trophy - but have the tie breaker in their favor as they have 4 World Cups which is the biggest trophy IMO. West Indies are 3rd with 4 World titles = 2 World Cups, 1 Champions Trophy and 1 T20 Cup. At the same time we have also managed to bag 5 Asia Cups and 3 u-19 world cups to underline our dominance in sub-continent and in u-19 cricket :two_thumbs_up: :isalute:

Consider World cup win as Gold medal ICC Champ trophy as Silver medal Others as bronze medal AUS 4 gold , IND 2 GOLD, WI 2 GOLD. so we are sharing 2 place with WI.

Its' all joke cricket Ashes = Gold Test series win in South Africa = silver Test series win in India or England = Bronze World 20/20 = Best short format tournament to win ODI cricket is boring and will be finished in 10 years.

not bitter are you:hysterical: As for ashes being gold:hysterical: We beat this aussie team 4-0, so thats no achievemnet to win ashes. Also england have been dreadful for deacdes, so aussies kept winning ashes with ease, so no gold achievement for them. But still you put india and england test series wins as joint bronze. You do realsie that? Not a typo? How did you hold back the bitterness:hysterical:

India is the 3rd hardest place to win for England, Aus or Saffas. England is the 3rd hardest place to win for the Subcontinent teams. Pakistan have only managed to achieve it by ball tampering

To me, the CB series victory in 2007-08 is sweeter than this champions trophy. We beat the the great Aussie side that had never quite lost to anyone in a decade. I am sure Dhoni himself would rate that ahead of most of his trophies, as he managed with a very young team.

It was just a tri series.

We just got thrashed 5-0 in the test series and that's all that's remembered. Also the Aussies beat us 6-1 in the 2009 ODI series but the tour for them was a failure because they lost the test series.

After the controversy at Sydney that victory against all odds was sweet

The fact that it is a best of three finals authoritatively seals the winner of that series. And, we played against Aus with Hayden, Ponting, Symonds et al. That was the most awesome feeling for me.

He's a Paki fan so cut him some slack. He saw his team getting hammered and even his adopted team choked when it counted :haha:
