maniac Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Bhuvi will do well,Has improved his pace too....I only see the way up from here :two_thumbs_up:
rajatkappor Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Bhuvi's current ODI bowling average Bhuvi is awesome! For a new, young player he shows a lot of promise. I was watching him play on www.starsports.com and looks like he is on the way of becoming one of the best bowlers! Bhuvi's current ODI bowling average is 22.83. :yay::yay::yay: :band: :band: :band:
vijay50 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Another balloon master whose average will keep on increasing until he is dropped from the team.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Just needs to bowl fuller. Why is there no investigation into the coaches and management? The kid bowls so well on debut up to the wi tri series, where not even gayle could smash him around and then he suddenly bowls back of a length, short and not his natural length? Worst of all, the morons on icf and on twitter eat it up and give up on him as if forgetting that he was a reason we won the ct13 and wi tri series, he bowled and got some wickets on dead indian tracks and didnt even get an overseas tests while hacks like ishant and aging players like zak got 4 tests in a row.. does no one even sympathise with him? Bhuvi got no tests on tracks that bowlers dream of yet vinnie the pooh kumar got an aussie pitch and bowled 120kph LMAO thats indian cricket and where we are because of our bad bowler management We need waqar for indian bowling coach! At least ganguly had sense

At least ganguly had sense I am with you on that. Unlike Ishant this guy thinks. Yes he sure sometimes goes off line. But he bowls more peaches of deliveries than we have seen from others. Especially the one he pitches on the off and brings it back to middle is a good one. When he bulks a bit more and adds a yard or two of pace he will be lethal.

He was really dangerous with that in swinger he used to bowl regularly, but rarely does Bhuvi bowl them now. It has become more of a surprise delivery. Worked on his pace after he was told to, once he even cranked it upto 140KPH. Needs to build up some muscles now, and unlike Ishant Bhuvi uses his brains.

You need conditions suited to bowl such deliveries. There is a reason pure swing bowlers who lack pace have not been successful long term in international cricket because they don't get helpful conditions all the time and they are too much dependent on them.

We have very very few bowlers who can even use that conditions. He is one of them. It is a travesty that he did not get even a single Test both in NZ and SA.

He was used on flat dead pitches with short boundaries but when we had 4 tests in those suited conditions he was not picked.
vvvslaxman Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I don't care about fast bowlers not clicking in India. Spinners will do more damage anyway. We need bowlers who can do well abroad.

What did bhuvi do in South Africa or New Zealand ? It's a myth that tracks help bowlers in Odis and very rare that u get tracks which actually help seam bowling
Old guy Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 There is bit of help but in Odis u very rarely see track which really can make bowler like bhuvi lethal During his start he was lucky to play in India during wet winter which made huge difference for him and since summer he is not looking the same bowler even though he is doing everything same if not better

rkt.india Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 He was used on flat dead pitches with short boundaries but when we had 4 tests in those suited conditions he was not picked. As I already said ball swung for first 15-20 overs even in those conditions and bowlers did well. Our issue was not doing well when ball got old. In SA, new ball did not swing even for Steyn.
undisputed chap Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 He is a hack.Relies too much on swing with new ball.Has no real pace, doesn't seam the ball, cant bowl a decent bouncer & cant reverse it.Once batsman start standing out of crease to negate swing he cant push them back & becomes a containing bowler.
rkt.india Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I don't care about fast bowlers not clicking in India. Spinners will do more damage anyway. We need bowlers who can do well abroad. That is not true. If this was the case, we would have won against England too. In 2008, we defeated both Aus and England, not because if spinners but MOS performances of Ishant and Zak. Even in 2010 Mohali, pacers Zak and Ishant played crucial roles. Depending just on spin is dangerous. This is what Dhoni does and not taking us anywhere. Our main issue is not utilizing those conditions, give swinging conditions to Shami, Zak they will do as well as any, but our problem in SA and NZ was when the ball got older and not much movement was there and BK is certainly not one to solve that problem.
saneindian Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Blame the coach, captain, team management all you want to, end of the day an individual has to take some responsibility as well. For the young Indian bowlers, its always an easy excuse to blame everyone else but themselves. For the batsman the individual alone is responsible! Rohit not able to fulfill all the potential he has is due to 'his attitude', Bhuvi or Umesh or Aaron not being able to do so is down to the skipper, the coach, the team environment, BCCI and everyone else in that set up!

Absolutely! The problem with Indian fast bowlers is not when there are conditions but when there aren't any conditions to help them.
