Deleted_User_1 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Feck DRS.....This is a total travesty..... The hotspot was there before the ball passed the bat. Feck England and feck the umpires!!!
FischerTal Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Feck You Drs. I Salute Dhoni And Bcci For Not Giving In To This Crap
Deleted_User_1 Posted July 14, 2013 Author Posted July 14, 2013 I feel so totally sorry for the Aussies. If this happened to India, I would be fuming!
indiaregulator Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Also, rest assured had this been aussies who won like this nobody would give a ****ing **** because everyone hates england. and dont even deny it.
G_B_ Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I was backing england but again this raises big issues about Hotspot. It was incredibly faint edge and snicko which is not part of the drs package is being used to confirm it.
Number Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Snicko showed there was an edge. Hot spot is a farce.
Crookbond Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 IDK why people are using Hot spot to invalidate Snicko and vice-versa. There was a clear audio and there was a hot spot mark. You live by the sword, you die by it.

asterix Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Snciko is not part of DRS. You can only use Snicko to confirm after a decision is made, not use it to make a decision.. If you are using it to make a decision then use it everytime and not selectively.. The Hotsopt on the bat was not due to the ball.

asterix Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 What was it due to then? Contact with anything but the ball..
Deleted_User_1 Posted July 14, 2013 Author Posted July 14, 2013 IDK why people are using Hot spot to invalidate Snicko and vice-versa. There was a clear audio and there was a hot spot mark. You live by the sword, you die by it. That is not the point. It was just luck that the correct decision was made. That does not mean the DRS process is not flawed. 3rd umpire does not get snicko. He gets hotspot and audio to make the decision. Hotspot and audio are both inconsistent. In fact hotspot showed a spot before the ball passed the bat!!!! Yes, snicko is reliable as it times the nick with the passing of the ball, but it is not available for decision making. There was not enough evidence to overturn the decision. Couple that with other dodgy decisions and the absolute howler of Broad's. Trust me, if this was India at the short end of the stick, effigies would be burning and you guys would be fuming on this forum. Aussies are handling it pretty well. Remember Sydney 2008. Indians are the biggest whiners!!!
Ultimate_Game Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 What was it due to then? Side angle showed the mark was already there before the ball got there.
