He got us India's one of the most famous test victory at Adelaide. It is sad to see while Rahul Dravid is given all accolades for that victory, poor Agarkar no one talks about. Can anybody find if Srinath got us any victory of that magnitude?

Srinath's Ahmedabad example was on home turf where it is difficult for fast bowlers late in the Test match that too while defending a low score. Just because we win at home does not automatically make a win abroad worth more, it is important to look at the context. In any case, try Cape Town 1993 if you may - 27-10-33-4 were his figures. Srinath was also the lone warrior for many innings in the Indian bowling lineup - all that has to count for something. On one side people argue that Tendulkar did not win us Test matches in the 90s due to a poor team however we forget the same argument for Srinath. Double standards, I say.

Srinath was hitting 142 in his last series...he must have been definitly quicker than Agarkar who was able to hit 137-140 at best towards the end. But both of them definitly among indias quickest along with Yadav and young Zak.
