Stuart Binny is uesless

I actually think Binny will do well if picked. He can only ever play t-20 or ODIs but he is a better pick than a fast bowler. In NZ, raw pace isn't a necessity in the shorter formats.

Only seen him in the IPL and he wasn't bad. He made some big hits and bowled reasonably accurately.

Dhoni always complains about not having an allrounder who can contribute with both bat and ball, so they can go with 4 good quality bowlers. (2 spinners + 2 pacers) or (3 pacers + 1 spinner and not having to go for part-timers), (even 4 pacers). Who are the other allrounders waiting to be picked and have shown some abilities in List A or IPL? A Nayyar is the other one, wasn't he already tried? Not many in India who is a shoe-in for that role. Father picking son is not the first time. Earlier case is Shivlal Yadav picking his son. BPatel picking his son for Karnataka (Udit Patel).

Sreenath Aravind was actually good for sometime. But, slowly his pace faded away(due to injury iirc), and he became an expensive trundler.

HS Sharath stats do not suggest he is an all-rounder, much less sehwag. Same with Ronit More.

Haven't read the article or listened to the audio, but cricinfo has a feature titled - "Binny could be the all rounder India is looking for" by Sharda Ugra. :hysterical: The only worthwhile thing she seems to have done is helped Wright write Indian Summers.
