One of my relative is a follower of asaraam. She was there when this thing happened in jodhpur. The same girl then went to new delhi for his satsang. And then accused him of raping. The girl and his family have got the backing of congress politicians. Asaraam said something against sonia and rahul gandhi and now he is paying the price for it. Look at all the news channels covering only this news. Asaraam had a very controversial life so far illegally occupying land, dead bodies of boys found outside his ashram are some of those. There have been cases where girls falsely accused someone for rape. So i will take this news and my relative's words with a pinch of salt.

Even Asaram should be considered innocent till he is proven guilty. But then, the law must take it's natural course. Anyone else in Asaram's position would have been arrested long ago. Kasab also got the VIP treatment. And this rape case is also getting the VIP treatment. There was another rape case few days ago media isn't covering it that much. Why? Because asaraam has so many followers and its easier for them to gain TRP through this case. No politician gave his interview regarding noida rape case. Its asaraam, ramdev, modi vs congress now.

Media were not following the other case because the accused were all arrested and behind bars. Here police had not dared even question this guy 12 days after the formal FIR. If this guy had nothing to hide, he wouldn't have made 100s of excuses to avoid police again and again. Media did exactly the right thing here. As for false rape cases, how many false rape cases have been there against people as powerful as this guy? I absolutely don't understand why you are making excuses of the beating up of media people and a rape accused using his power to avoid the police.
