Cricketics Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 We have heaps of International cricket to follow after the historic Zimbabwe triumph today against Pakistan. Keeping Indian games aside, and focussing a bit on other teams playing and touring how do you see this series results Pakistan vs South Africa - 2 tests, 5 ODIS, 2T20s After 3-0 loss to Proteas in South Africa, Pakistan would be looking to win some games against them in UAE. Let's talk about test matches. After getting triumphed by Zimbabwe in 2nd test and also inched closer in the first test, Pakistan has lot to worry about. However, more than the result, I worry about their selection of the team. Of late, I have learned one thing about Misbah, and that is that Pakistani's hate him. Majority of them. This guy is always standing for the team and scoring runs, but some obsessed fans there want him to be dropped fro test side. He almost won them the 2nd test, yet he couldn't impress them. They still think that he is the reason why team is losing right now in test. After poor batting display, they will make some batting changes. I would only bank on Younis and Misbah again to score for Pakistan in UAE. Ajmal might come to party too. Not only with ball, but with bat. He had better batting average than most of the other Pakistani bats during Zimbabwe tour. It's gong to be interesting couple of tests hopefully but I believe it's going to be 2-0 win for South Africa.
kumar713 Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 SA should cancel this tour after paki's loss to ZImbabwe
Sajid_Rana Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Depends which Pakistan team shows up in UAE as they are most unpredictable side. They can whitewash number 1 ranked team away from home and but can lose a test match against non ranked team as well. This is the beauty of team Pakistan.
Old guy Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 unpredictable is now becoming good excuse to hide how mediocre this side is becoming . lets forget cliche they were called unpredictable before earlier they had players who would win matches on their own now there are none like that they never played like team so were never consistent hence the un predictable tag but now they are just mediocre and performance shows that..

You could white wash saffies in SA??? Wake up from your dream!
Old guy Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 so neutral=away from home and not to mention neutral in home like conditions :hmmm:
G_B_ Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 technically he is correct. Play in UAE away from home. Beat England 3-0. Who were ranked number 1 at the time. I have actually put £20 on Pakistan not losing the SA series in the UAE. (drawing on winning). Last time SA toured UAE there were some real flatbeds. So i think its going to be hard for SA to force the issue with Robin Peterson and Tahir. All Pakistan has to do is to ask the curator to create some flatbeds. NZ did it v England recently and it worked out well. Nz will probably do it against us. Making flat pitches is the new line of defence for weaker teams.

Vilander averaged 50 with the ball in Australia and Morkel does not have the best of test averages in asia. He is averaging 41 with the ball in India and 38 with the ball in the UAE. you look at Morkel and he does not have the best of record in unhelpful conditions. So you basically have a bowling line up with is heavily dependent on Steyn for making serious inroads. Personally speaking i am more than confident about India winning a series when SA tour us. I just cant see them producing the wickets without a solid frontline spinner.
Old guy Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 how does averages in india and australia are fair to assess average in uae against pak side? broad did well against pak but sucked elsewhere in subcontinent and if anderson can do well then so can philander and morkel

We are talking about Pak making flat pitches. Roads. They IMO are good enough to draw on those.
Old guy Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 pitches for that series were different. We are talking about Pak making flat pitches. Roads. They IMO are good enough to draw on those. not with this batting line up they have no openers and struggling number 3 then yes a good number 4 in younis but he alone wont draw these matches ..hell even the tail is not good enough to fight for draw against zimbabwe at most they will survive day maybe 4 sessions ..dont expect them to play out 2 days by defending its not gonna happen u are clearly under estimating south africa.. when we were number 1 side or there baout south africa was the only team we were not able to beat at home!
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Englund came unprepared in UAE. Have another series and the result is likely to be in their favour. SA , I expect to be a lot more prepared to handle spin. preparation is what I am talking about..not ability

Haarkarjeetgaye Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Why are you so bothered about India' date=' shouldn't you worry about your own team who lost to a Club Level team?[/quote'] its typical Pakistani. peep into others inefficiency and then say we are better. otherwise they have no reason to exist.
