Kohli, Ishant's Delhi team-mate, also defended him, saying, "I don't think you can drop a player on the basis of two poor matches." Ishant has just two more matches to do something of note before the squad for the last four ODIs is announced. Seriously rat? :hysterical: :hysterical:
make that three,Virat

I am generally not a fan of brainless display of emotions in the SC which often goes OTT. but this thread is ill timed and illdirected. its not about one loss. first of all the complete anhilation of our pace bowling pool in the last decade is not minor matter, both the board and players share responsibility for this. two highly irresponsible players rp singh and sreesanth dug their own graves. Donald said sreesanth's training methods are abominable. how he allowed to geta way with that for so long? often the pacers will arrive for the new season without the required fitness and speed. zaheer and nehra leading the pack. this season ishant arrives for what is a crucial season for him in utterly uninspiring form. as for fielding and throwing arm? meh! remember munaf and rp singh in their early 20's ambling toward the ball as if they are 80 yr olds? that says it all. vinay impresses one and all by giving his all. but he is not going to succeed at internationals. In the juniors, I still see 5 footers trying to bowl fast. now what do we have? we have unadkat, aaron and shami all of whom with a lot to prove. the captain does not back genuine pace .does he think cricket history is littered with trundling champions? for this unacceptable state of affairs in the pace bowling dept, the criticisms are well directed this time around. bcci is performing well below par on this front. the players themselves suck in attitude and other things. even if the team chases 360 today, all the criticism on this front are valid.

Give us MJ and we would axe him if has one match were goes for a few:hysterical: Yadav anyone?
tbf Yadav has sucked for more than one match. don't think Aus would have retained him if he averaged 42 with ER over 6.Hes playing because he has a good record, not because hes phaast.same with McKay and Faulkner

Have we sacrificed our home advantage? Due to the frequency of the IPL and CLT20 hosted all around India, many international players get conditioned to play on certain grounds. For example, there is a good chance that Faulkner and Watson know more about the Jaipur track than our "home bowlers" like Vinay and Bhuvi. The Jaipur ground may just feel like "home" to some of these guys b/c of the ton of matches they have played here. Jaipur is just an example, this can be true about other grounds around India as well. Before IPL and CLT20, a home ground was considered advantageous b/c the opposition didn't have the time to adapt to the conditions or didn't have the skill set to play on the "away grounds" but thanks to the enumerable matches played in the circus tournaments, we have sacrificed our home advantages.
