+1 We follow a rotational system for ODI allocation due to high number of grounds. So, one should use common sense but since BCCI has already raked in the moolah for the match they don't bother with these matters.
but they did in CLT20:hmmm: maybe there was no Ambani pressure :hmmm:

Aussies are making big mistake if they think Johnson is going to win them Ashes' date=' Johnson can lose a test match in a session.[/quote'] can win it too bu running through the English. Certainly would be better bet than Bird and Faulkner

Other than that, he is not the same Johnson of the past. He has improved a lot in terms of consistency though he can still be erratic but much better than the past and has gained a yard of pace too. For consistency, they have Ryan Harris and Peter Siddle. Johnson will be an attacking option. Pattinson, Cummins, Starc, Jackson Bird are all injured.

England batting lineup is just so strong at the moment, they don't have many weaknesses.

Look at how Johnson exposed Trot and KP in ODIs in England with fast short pitch bowling. Imagine what he can do on quicker and bouncier Australian surfaces with that extra yard of pace he has gained after he was dropped. I never saw Johnson bowl that quick before. He is 10K quicker now than what he was 1-2 years back and more accurate than ever and also can sustain that pace whole day.

to be fair if he bowls like that to Trott and Bell like he did in the ODIs then 99% of batsman in the world cant do anything about it. Deadlier than Steyn when on song. Ashes has a total of 10 innings in which Johnson can bowl, assuming no innings victories. If he comes of in 4 of the 10 then his inclusion has made the difference. Can also bat and is a handy fielder. As things stand Aus do have Watson who can bowl as the fifth bowler incase things dont go according to plan for Johnson. So there is cover.
