CG Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 This is some thrashing. Missed the last 13 overs. Looks like first Dhoni had a brain freeze and then Ishant decided to be extra benevolent! Problems galore now. Both Ishant and Vinay started well and again finished poorly. Yuvi hasnt done much in the 3 ODIs either, though would have been hindered by the dew tonight. Raina at 4 not working. Whn do they pick the team for next 4 ODIs? A number of players will most likely lose their spot now. Umesh, Mohit should come in, perhaps even Zaheer may comeback if Dhoni is really desperate. Arrey why would u bring umesh and mohit,When they will not get a game.Unadkat,shami are next in line.

In his local ground, he had set up PUtlas of Ishant, Sreenivasan and Vinaky Kumar to burn and celebrate Dussehra.

Like aggy, Sree, Zak, RP and others. They did not do it all the time but could at timec crank at least to 140 a few times in a match. Even nehra bowled one or two This current attack is a joke. Relentlessley bowling 79 mph with top speed of 82. Pathetic Selectors need shooting England 2011 ODI series was even more trundler.
rkt.india Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Munaf too....He was one of our better death bowlers for sure Munaf and death bowler. You need to remember how Kyle Mills thrashed all over in a chase of 392 at Hamilton in death overs and once Stuart Broad did the same to him.

The 4 fielder rule for the last 10 overs is really hurting nearly every team irrespective of how good the bowling attack is. Most teams are conceding 75-80 runs on a regular basis in those 10 overs. And we go at 105-110 . What 5th fielder is going to do when you getting hit for 4 sixes in an over?

We have always struggled to win against Aussies at home as their pacers have been good enough to trouble us as you cannot chase to score 300 plus every time and our bowler never really trouble them. Most of the times, we play ODI series against Aussies in October, start of the season, when pitches are fresh and they have someyhing in them for pacers and nothing much for spinners. We might get Cuttack and Nagpur where spinners might get some help. Ranchi was belter in CLT20, might be the same here and Bangalore always have pace and bounce and good for hard hitting batsmen.

Sourav was the best in picking the right talent. Dhoni is taking the team back to 1990s when our bowlers sucked big time..
