Switchblade
Really need 2 gun openers (and not makeshift ones or bits and pieces players) for T20s and need to look beyond this squad. Hope the next IPL season throws up some new young names as the current lot just do not cut the mustard. IPL won't throw up new names it will be the same guys doing well. You'll see Rohit becoming second coming of Bradman Dhoni posing after helicopter shot Rahane making 5 or 6 50's Jadeja becoming Lance Klusner or Harbhajan becoming turbonator its good for entertainment and good for youngsters playing in front of huge crowd but its more like a rewind button where the current guys will be heroes for their franchise. Haarkarjeetgaye
Lankans would have opened with a spinner for sure had Dhawan played they would be aware about his weakness and started of with a spinner plus his form was awful while Rahane got starts in both the games. doesnt matter. Dhawan would have still tried to hit. and had he got 2 3 boundaries...we would have got the start....you see where was the need to solidify the batting up the order...our middle order did not even do anything in this tournament. why be risk averse at the top. why. if this was a 50 over format then yes Rahane makes sense..but this is 20 20..always Dhawan unless your batting is weak in the middle order Link to comment
mancalledsting
Rohit was going at a decent strike rate initially but lost momentum when rahane and kohli (initially) were a bit hesitant Rahane- at least he went for the big shot instead of denying remaining batsmen a chance to bat. Link to comment

Straight Drive
Yes, this was a huge loss for bookies. They had Aussies as first favorites, India as second, South Africa or Sri Lanka as 3rd. We can expect some match fixing by bookies in next few bilateral series or tournaments so that they will recover this loss and be in profits by the end of the financial year. Bookies books will always be in profit at end of financila year, it is the betters account which goes in loss at end of it. Link to comment
Raghav_12
Yes. I am a bit surprised while all stones are pelted at Yuvraj's house, both literally and figuratively, why people are not even talking about Dhoni. This guy came in ahead of Raina and couldn't even put bat to ball. Forget everything, he couldn't even provide strike to Kohli who was our best bet at that moment to make think different. Straight Drive
He hits so much in air usually, yesterday there was no intent in smashing the ball.It seemed purposeful to not get out for some reason. It was a selfish innings, there is no doubt about it. Link to comment
