jonas10 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Dont get all the comparisons. VK would have finished off the chase with overs to spare. Whereas his doppelgänger shat his pants under pressure today. :yay:

Austin 3:!6 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Apologies Iconoclast. My dear friend from Greenisthan had asked me yesterday to prepare a jinx thread for Pakistan. Chakmal and foolGul will be taken to cleaners by men in Brown #hell yeah# Pak will crumble as usual during pressure with Ahmed Tendulkar getting out in a duck. Poys :bye: :bye: Feeling sad for you bro...jinxed overturned :(( :(( :(( But don't worry, come 2015 WC Pak will finally keep Akmal and Malik out of the side. Dil Dil Pakistan man :two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up:
Crookbond Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 India's amazing record and Australia's abysmal record in sub continent T20 internationals India have the best Win/Loss ratio in T20 Internationals played on the sub-continent! No code has to be inserted here. OTOH, Australia have an abysmal record best only to Bangladesh. If you look at the RPO, Australia (8.17) are only second to India (8.21). The Aussies are able to score well but are unable to chase their targets (6 out of the 9 games lost by Australia are while chasing). Australia's T20I SC problem is not the batting but more their bowling and specifically, the lack of spinners. Pakistan's RPO (7.75) is abysmal - just ahead of lowest ranked Bangladesh and South Africa. Despite that, they are able to be the 2nd best team in terms of W/L ratio. Why? Bowling again! Out of 11 games won by Pakistan, they have successfully defended a sub-150 target 5 times.

TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Rather chase slow and steady like IND than implode like ENG/AUS/NZ/PAK A lot of people (including ICFers) were criticizing India for not having chased the targets in their first 3 games a lot quicker. We got to see what that can do sometimes later in the tournament. England, Australia, New Zealand and now Pakistan all imploding chasing a not so high target, some of it caused by good bowling but others by simply inept batting. I'd rather have the quiet wins by 7 wickets in the last over, thank you.
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 got to do more with deterioration of the wickets and the anti dew spray being used. India could have upped the tempo in the last 3 or 4 overs. Match was already won by then
Austin 3:!6 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Bravo Bravo Superb Innings by Bravo today. When West Indies were completely down and out, in 16th over he completely changed the game. After a long time I have seen him doing something good in West Indies colors. That over where he took Ajmal to the cleaners was epic. He willl be a big match winner again come IPL. :two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up:
sscomp32 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Yep. Were you there too? That site is hillarious. I was only laughing. :hysterical:
NareshK Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Chasing is not easy in Mirpur under the lights. Indian batsmen made it look easy to chase 130 - 140. I dont think it was possible to get the total in any less overs.
CSK Fan Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Yes, we can afford to start slowly if chasing between 170-190
