Nearly all his wickets were when he beat the batsmen in flight getting them stumped or forcing a wrong shot. Would put that down to great skills than batsmen trying to slog. Did I say it is a bad thing? I was just saying to people who said he panicked when batsmen attacked him, but the thing was he did not hit the right lengths yesterday like earlier games.

Infact he bowled a seam up delivery for free hit. Ashwin on the contrary slowed it extremely which is what Mishra failed to do. He started darting it without trying to slow and get purchase. That is where mental strength comes in. Keeps sticking to your strength.

Keeps sticking to your strength. That was wrong from him, but I can understand that he tried to vary the pace, but it is not like every delivery was quicker. He bowled slow too, but they either were too full or too short.

Old guy Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Heck Lanka did not even win semi final ...sammy could have chased it as shown in previous matches ..and this is what will be downfall of Lanka they are not even used to fighting hard while,India like previous World Cup got 3 tough matches in row and easily showed more fight in final because of that
