nikred Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I have experience in taking interviews. The following used to p!ss me off: 1) Cockiness 2) The interviewee not being able to justify his resume. 3) not answering what is being asked. 4) too much of blabbering. 5) trying to take the interviewer for a ride. 6) bull*****ing when they clearly have no clue what was asked.
Zanjeer Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Experience is the only way to do well in interviews. Just be happy and consider it as an experience. You would do well. Good luck.
CG Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Thanks. :nice: So I'll go ahead and abuse the interviewers. :cantstop: Yep. But I would love getting the job. Something new and more specifically I could make money to get rid of my boredom. Yup thats just to calm urself,It works with me all the time.
SLICKR392 Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 Wear Lungi and go' date=' Mallus are everuwhere....[/quote'] Or rather a sparkly fulled cuffed shirt with oily hair like kannadiggas. :woot:
SLICKR392 Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 In that case they will just want to know how good your English is and ur basic computer skills. They will ask u to describe urself' date='why u want this job and some generic questions.ex:Which place in the world do u want to visit the most and why etc[/quote'] Yeah, I asked one of these HR guys there about what they ask and usually they ask general question about the candidate. Here's one- 'What's your view on B'lore?' What on earth am I supposed to tell him breifly.
SLICKR392 Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 Just be yourself i.e. let the panel know how vegetarians are the descendants of satan. Ok nvm, here's some preparation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcV50FuMGwc I thought of this doing this as well. In that case they will just want to know how good your English is and ur basic computer skills. They will ask u to describe urself' date='why u want this job and some generic questions.ex:Which place in the world do u want to visit the most and why etc[/quote']
GautiMaan Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Yeah' date=' I asked one of these HR guys there about what they ask and usually they ask general question about the candidate. Say something positive but be honest, explain abt the aspects of the city u genuinely like.Remember they just want to assess ur English and personality. Here's a question that u may like more,What are the 5 greatest evils of our country and how would u go about rectifying them if u had the power?
Detonator Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Says the guy who believes in the validity of the caste system. :hysterical: Says an anarchist copycat who cant handle reality. :D
Sooda Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 The most important thing in my view is a job description if there is one. Look through what theyre asking for in their ideal candidate and in your interview tell them exactly how you meet those criteria. Prepare yourself by thinking about how you meet each of those criteria- so prove that you have the skills and/or experience they want by saying 'i have done xyz, demonstrating this skill' or 'studied xyz /done xyz at work (or somewhere else not necessarily work) demonstrating this experience'
Detonator Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Thanks, that's gonna help. @Deto- I thought you were a kid. I m not a kid. I m 26. :agree: just remember, if u learn fake a feeling , u can overcome it. Nervousness, fear, anxiety, anger, watever... Like Batman, "to conquer fear, u have to be the fear" just act like u r little nervous, listen carefully to the person opposite to u, try to read his mind, act accordingly.. Since u believe u r a good actor, I bet u can handle anyone.. Speak to ur mom/dad and ur dear one before going in.. Not just this, u can go through anything. Dont forget to talk abt ur relevency of the job though. :giggle: I hope u get into this job.
Old guy Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 all the best slick that is all i can do :(( im nervous wreck too in such situations i hope you are better :P

Famous for gardens, pubs, nightlife and of course silicon valley. Famous for gamers, motor racers, trundlers and rajkumar. Thats it. :giggle:

Thanks but your signature isn't all that helpful. :cantstop:

I stick reading the script silently, so communication wise (vocally), I suck ! @Sab & Zak- Thanks :nice:
Laaloo Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Stop posting on ICF and practice for your interview. Research on company history - their vision, what they have done recently, etc.
GautiMaan Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Yeah I could answer these specific ones. How long could an interview take or how would I get an idea that they like me? Depends on whether there are one or two rounds. But im sure there wont be any more than that. Each round will take 10 minutes tops Best case scenario, you ace the interview, the company decides to hire you and your salary package will be finalized within an hour.If there are a lot of candidates, they may ask u to leave in which case they will call within two days if ur selected. And relax there are plenty of oppurtunities in this sector and from ur posts,i can guess that u would qualify easily in most companies. All the best
Detonator Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Stop posting on ICF and practice for your interview. Research on company history - their vision' date=' what they have done recently, etc.[/quote'] Honestly I donno wat happens in most interviews, but I guess most employees who r interviewers have nothing to do with the company's vision and stuff, except if the chairman/CEO/an important person takes the interview. They have their own idea abt selection, so we just have to be spot-on. Pardon me if I m wrong.
