I will be having classes/plays only during the weekends hence, I thought of joining a job with my limited qualification, 12th and BA in English through IGNOU. A temp job until my classes are done, which would be around July. I'll be dead bored during the week days so I thought of taking up this job and earn something out of it. I have neither seen or been in an interview, I'm totally raw in experience and ****ing nervous. With all the experience out here on ICF, it would be nice of sharing what the hell happens inside that room or wherever it takes place (interview i.e). Basically what sort of questions they ask or answers that they expect from me.

Just go in as you are and be yourself. They have seen more interviewees like you and know what to expect and won't be put off by anything you say or do. Nervousness is expected, it is cockiness that is a red-flag.

Sachin=GOD Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 If they ask you a question and you don't know the answer then say that you don't know - don't try to bluff or to give a roundabout answer or divert their attention etc - all this gives a bad impression. This has been my experience from a few interviews I have given.

vvvslaxman Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 There is a difference between interviews in India and interviews in USA. Even in US interview style is different from indians. In my observations most desis i have come across try to show off. They will give you an impression that they somehow want to prove that they are smarter than you. This is for tech interviews though. I am not sure how the interviews are for other jobs.

The pay is better in placement management but its monotonous and frigging boring.

At this level, you will not be asked many technical things, you will probably be asked more about yourself than anything else. Just answer everything with a smile. Don't hesitate to say "No" if you don't know the answer or in a case where you disagree with the interviewer's point of view.

In that case they will just want to know how good your English is and ur basic computer skills.They will ask u to describe urself,why u want this job and some generic questions.ex:Which place in the world do u want to visit the most and why etc
