India-KXIP fan Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 While there will be a toss-up between Pragyan Ojha and Amit Mishra for the third spinner’s spot, Ajinkya Rahane will retain his place despite a forgettable Test debut this year. If the selectors choose a 15th player, expect that spot to go to Rohit Sharma or Suresh Raina. Rohit Sharma being merely considered that too as 15th spot!
MCcricket Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 I Agree but Why not the same thing applying for Ishant who easily is worst then Zak, play domestic or county prove ur form for a period only then you will be considered for selection, let him get his pace, rhythm, game then only be eligible but instead he is still in the team, double standards!
Austin 3:!6 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 All ploy by selectors to select Ishant. A half fit Zak is wayyy better than Ishant, only a blind man will disagree. And IF fitness is the criteria, what is Ashwin doing in the side? :hmmm:
Austin 3:!6 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 So Ishant is being considered? Thats the IQ level of our selectors when it comes to selecting bowlers. Harsh but truth.
adi B Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 seriously, pishant must have got an ashleel video of dhoni enjoying with the selectors,no other reason can be valid for even considering him for test matches.. yadav, bhuvi, shami must be the pacers for the windies series
G_B_ Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 i think India will mostly likely go with Vijay Dhawan Pujara Sachin Kohli MSD Sir Ashwin Bhuvi Umesh Ojha That should be our team IMO. Dhoni will trust Sir and Ashwin combined to do the job of bowlers and batsman.

Dhoni will trust Sir and Ashwin combined to do the job of bowlers and batsman. And probably should be team as well
SLICKR392 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Hopefully Vijay fails. The worst scenario, Vijay will make cluster of runs on pattas preparedfor SRT.
G_B_ Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 In a way i think its good that Pandey has not been selected. Would probably have sat on the bench. Its better he plays ranji cricket for the tour of south africa. Same for Zaheer. Mostly should be a flattish pitch with turns as the game goes on. So i dont expect the seamers on either side to make an impact.
Detonator Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Hopefully Vijay fails. The worst scenario, Vijay will make cluster of runs on pattas preparedfor SRT. why u (and many) want Vijay to fail? :dontknow:
saneindian Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Good decision. Needs more FC matches but hopefully it has been properly communicated it to him. Also hoping Dhoni picks up his phone if Zak calls up.
Old guy Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 on other hand pandey wicks up a 7 wicket haul on a patta
saneindian Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Ojha taking wickets is good news for India. Ashwin will take time to get back to his test bowling rhythm.
SLICKR392 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 why u (and many) want Vijay to fail? :dontknow: Looking into the future, he is not the ideal Indian Test opener I would be rooting for.
Old guy Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Looking into the future' date=' he is not the ideal Indian Test opener I would be rooting for.[/quote'] who is better option right now ? why not give him a fair chance cos after all all he did is score runs in tests when he got chance and one of those inning was very good one too. even if he ends up being home bully for me it will be enough as before that our openers were struggling even on pattas..ofc if some one better surfaces play him but right now i dont see better options who have experience

I agree its unfair to drop him after his good run against Aussies but I would rather have Rohit over him in SA.

The same lot are unhappy with Vijay going to SA.
