Weird topic.. i am just trying to compile large chases that went awry somewhere... Srilanka made a great fist of it. Mahanama was inconsolable on the ground after getting run out for 98. Running between the wickets was astonishing. He scored 98 in 91 balls just 7 boundaries !! One of the greatest run chase i have seen live.

Ofcourse.. that is definitely up there. We came very very close to overhaul it.. that is on par with Inzamam's epic attempt at chasing down India's 349 and fell short by 5 runs.

The ball hit the boundary rope on the full and was rightly called four, but it was bad luck that it landed where the rope overlapped itself, presenting a wider target.
