urbestfriend Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Wov..Prakash Raj has intimidated this anchor whoever he is and exposed his shallowness.
yoda Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 The guy is an amazing talent. Reminds me a bit of Nana Patekar in terms of intensity.
vvvslaxman Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 The guy is an amazing talent. Reminds me a bit of Nana Patekar in terms of intensity. He stayed at my home early in the 90s with his then girl friend Lalitha kumari. Didn't really know he would go on to become such a huge star. :cantstop:

vvvslaxman Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Why did you stay at your home? relative? He came to attend a Wedding of my relative. With so much crowd they stayed in hour house. They slept on open terrace.
Brainfade Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Didn't he use to be Prakash Rai? Wonder why he changed his name.
EnterTheVoid Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 Absolutely incredible sense of timing. Gave that idiot interviewer a run for his money.
Precambrian Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 overrated actor.. plays himself every single frigging time... was fun to watch at first.. now boringly repetitive...

yoda Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 overrated actor.. plays himself every single frigging time... was fun to watch at first.. now boringly repetitive... Prakash Raj overrated as an actor :giggle:
EnterTheVoid Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 Over rated my ****! Better than the actors who spend the last 20 years doing the same thing over and over again.
Brainfade Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Over rated my ****! Better than the actors who spend the last 20 years doing the same thing over and over again. Overrated does not necessarily mean bad. It just means people give him more credit than he deserves. People may be saying he is the 2nd best actor, while he may only be the 3rd best. So, technically, he would be over-rated. But he'd still much better than the 33rd best actor ... ya know, the guy who's been doing the same thing over and over :-)!
Detonator Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 He might be versatile, but his talent in acting is very limited. we are already getting bored of him. Most of the times, I can see only prakash raj in his movies, not the character. as precambrian said he plays himself. Raghuvaran is a lot more talented actor. Even MS Bhaskar can play a hell lot of roles. I get a feeling that he might be terrific as a villan.
ganeshran Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 He is a very versatile actor but tends to get stereotyped in his roles nowadays. He plays the gilli villian in every other movie now which gets tiring.

Yeah I absolutely loved him in iruvar.. it takes some ability to match up to someone like mohanlal and he did. But since then, has he given one character worthy remembering through the ages?

But since then, has he given one character worthy remembering through the ages? He performed well in Iruvar and rightly got national award. Kanjivaram is a typical award bait movie and I find him method acting. But his ability to play many roles are much much limited compared to the likes of Nassar who is extremely underrated.

But his ability to play many roles are much much limited compared to the likes of Nassar who is extremely underrated. L Absolutely agree. Nassar is a true versatile actor, who for some reason hasn't garnered the attention he should have. Have essayed all types of roles with aplomb. And in so many varieties of languages. BTW many south Indian heroes have portrayed roles across south indian languages and hindi for the record. It isn't a first. I know north Indian guys find it difficult to comprehend that anyone could do that.
