Austin 3:!6 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 He is a decent bowler IMO. Why Dhoni dont bowl him regularly in ODI's and prefer the likes of Rohit Sharma over him?
Austin 3:!6 Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 I dont think India and Dhoni seriously thinking of taking Yuvi to the 2015 WC.
Sooda Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Any injuries preventing him from having a bowl~?
fineleg Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Maybe MSD has plans to look beyond Yuvi for wc2015???
vvvslaxman Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 It is good in a way. He is an ace batsman. His bowling is a bonus. We don't batsmen to hide their failures with all round tag.
GrandMasterSaxy Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 They all practice together (bowl and bat) and the performance of the player is seen in the nets. Yuvraj's strength is batting and he seem to be more inclined towards batting and may be he is not bowling in the nets.
G_B_ Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Let him concentrate on his batting all the moment. Was not out today but all over the place. Totally out of form. The thing is India already have Sir and Raina as left arm spinners. Raina to be fair bowled extremely well today. Was smart in the strategy employed. How much of the same can you have in your bowling attack?
GrandMasterSaxy Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 He is a good batsman, actually not out of form but he is scared to play freely. He knows his position in the team is not fixed and probably he knows this is a decider series for him and his career. Let him concentrate on his batting all the moment. Was not out today but all over the place. Totally out of form. The thing is India already have Sir and Raina as left arm spinners. Raina to be fair bowled extremely well today. King Tendulkar Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 He was very good part timer spinner. I fact he was that decent that he was played often as 5th bowling all rounder. Now dhoni does not bowl him and goes for Rainas and Rohits, farankly anyone else. One of main reason to play a yuvraj is his bowling, semi all rounder in odis Sorry, stinks of something dodgy as usual by dodgy dhobi!
rkt.india Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Because he was not bowling well against Aus.
saneindian Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Bowled 3-4 overs in every match vs Aussies and bowled a lot of rubbish, half tracker,s short and wide deliveries etc. 4 fielder rule doesn't help part timers like him.
CSK Fan Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Because how else will Raina bowl 10 overs? Raina is improving every match with more bowling, nothing to say UV wouldn't. Raina's @ass might be saved because of his bowling exploits. But clearly Indian team and captain is on a project Raina drive and not project Yuvraj
CG Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Because he was not bowling well against Aus. All spinners were hammered.I Guess dhoni will use him against righthanders.

Save raina project is on.
Austin 3:!6 Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 I cannot believe Raina is under BCCI's A list of contracted players and the like of Rohit Sharma & Dhawan are on B list. What did Raina do to achieve that? A sitting duck moment the ball pitches half tracker. I mean - Really??
Temujin Khaghan Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 OP, becoz the players might have small niggles you and i might not be aware of they play against each other in the nets every day and they know where every player is wrt to fitness sometimes their bowling form might be low and the captain who trains with yuvraj might know that... instead of making him look stupid, he might just be doing a favour by not giving him the ball yuvraj is making a comeback, as a batsman first. maybe he will start bowling, once he settles down and starts feeling more confident not everything is a conspiracy...

Slowly Manjrekar clones are created in ICF :cantstop: Over analyzing every decision.
