SLICKR392 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I don't think Umar Akmal does anything on flat track either. If Raina has to leave why would anyone want Umar instead of Pujara or even rahane.. . Even though they may not be suitable for ODis' date=', still miles better than Umar Akmal. Then we have guys like Zol, Samson, Rayudu, Aparajith. There are endless supply of players who will be better than cowlasher Umar.[/quote'] Hell ! I would have Yusuf Pathan ahead of Akmal.

ganeshran Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I would take Umar Akmal to our team' date=' [b']would probably do a better job than Yuvraj and Raina :vroam: Jr. Khatmal wouldnt make the Indian C side. He is a decent batsmen for Pakistan because others are horrible.

rahulrulezz Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 1. Those fifties were on flat tracks just like I said. 2. That asia cup was 3 years ago, why bring up something that old? Tell me something that happened 1 and a half years ago at latest WTF So when Kohli, Rohit andAkmal score, its a green track but when Raina score its a flat pitch like those kaanch ke glass on which Basanti nachofied in front of Gabbar..

How is he going to help us. INdian batting is full of mentally strong players . Raina, Yuvraj etc. Umar is both mentally and technically weak. He would not even find a spot in Indias second XI let alone first XI.
vvvslaxman Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 He won't fit anywhere in our line up. Not even in second XI.
vvvslaxman Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Heck i would rather take Mayanti's husband over Umar :cantstop:
SLICKR392 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Here's an other solid statement on a different Raina vs Akmal thread on ICF. Unfair to compare Umar with Raina since he is far better player in any format. Raina can't even compete with Umar in ODIs despite having the luxury of playing up the order ' date=' on roads at home and still averages less than Akmal. In tests, the comparison is even bleak as Raina has shown he is not good enough to survive in real format. Umar Akmal on the other hand did proved he is good enough to play test cricket by averaging almost 40 with limited opportunities he got.[/quote']
YoungTalent Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Listen guys, I really do want Yuvraj and Raina to get their form back, I really do But that doesnt mean that we critisize a pakistani player just because he is part of our enemy team. I agree that Umar Akmal is not that great of a player, but he has a better ODI average than Yuvi and Raina
ganeshran Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Umar is better in tests, but heck Raina doesn't set the benchmark too high there. All talk of talent notwithstanding, Khatmal Jr. performs once in 5 matches and scratches his way through the other four. Raina is a far more valuable player for the role he performs. He is a good fielder and has clutch temperament. The only negative for Raina is his vulnerability to the short ball.
adi B Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 1. Those fifties were on flat tracks just like I said. 2. That asia cup was 3 years ago, why bring up something that old? Tell me something that happened 1 and a half years ago at latest dude,i'll tell u a fact..raina is head and shoulders above khatmal and what flat track u talking about?khatmal himself plays on UAE roads and still plays like a hack..raina would have avged 45 on those roads..raina scored heavily in england in 2011,has won several matches including WC QF,SF where khatmal would have had a brainfart..scored 70+ vs aus in 40 odd balls in 2010,scored match winning 86 vs eng in mumbai 2011,scored a ton when india were 60/5 ,4 consecutive 50s earlier this year(khatmal can only dream of) etc etc

I agree that Umar Akmal is not that great of a player, but he has a better ODI average than Yuvi and Raina Dude, did you see his shot against Tahir? What on god's name was that !? He is no demon overseas and neither is he a clutch player like Raina who could win you games from defeat. And its criminal to compare Yuvi with that guy.

I agree that Umar Akmal is not that great of a player, but he has a better ODI average than Yuvi and Raina It is a blasphemy to say Yuvraj and Umar in the same sentence. This guy has been struggling since his cancer treatment. We get it. Doesn't mean you go around comparing a hack to one of the best ODI player India ever produced.

jalebi_bhai Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 OP........which political party do you support?
GoldenSun Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Yuvraj's stuggles are mainly after cancer treatment. Im sorry, but you just cannot put him and Umar Akmal in the same breath. Yuvraj was one of the BIGGEST reasons we won the 2011 Cricket World Cup and won 4 man of the match awards. He has been a gun player for us ever since he emerged. Umar Akmal couldnt get Pakistan over the line with 5 wickets remaining and 20 runs to achieve. All he is is a slogger. It is true though that his time may be up and I don't see him doing well in 2015 World Cup if he plays.
bsriharsha Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 This tactic only works when either a poyz supporter or a non-jaahil person makes the thread...... isn't that an oxymoron....poyz=akmal supporter and non-jaahil :haha: as much as i respect yuvi , he's a fighter and has been a limited over legend for us. But his time's up Raina , I can see why Dhoni wants him to be in the LOI team , he's got a problem with the short ball , but he's energetic in the field and supports the others pretty well , he's got a lean patch now though... I wouldn't mind him getting dropped and see someone like Cheteshwar Pujara get a run in the middle order , especially considering that the world cup is in Australia where the likes of Raina can and will get bounced out. and LOL at comparing a no-hoper with Yuvi , Yuvi has done it all in LOI , Umar is now a glorified slogger much like Afretard
bsriharsha Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 OP........which political party do you support? I don't support any political parties. But if I've to vote, will be for the TDP in my state and maybe Modi in the center.
