Those were just bunch of morons and I doubt that many of those were even bothered about WC loss. Reminds of the completely different incident when BJP refused to give ticket to local MLA Ramji Lal Sharda and his supporters were protesting in front of BJP office in Ranchi (Dhoni's house is now hardly 100 m away from that office) and someone pelted office with the stone. Suddenly I saw some students returning from school also started throwing stones and they had no idea what was going on.

I am a big fan of Dhoni the cricketer as much as I completely hate Dhoni the Brand...... Great cricketer, Mediocre Captain, Humble human-Still has that small town boy air about him Shrewd friends/business partners, Great intensity when it comes to living in the moment , No future vision Good friend,Good manager,may be a good son(:giggle:) Poor leader Loves his job Doesn't care about the game Thats the closest I can come to a MS Dhoni tribute

One wonders why every article that is supposed to be glorifying MS Dhoni, almost always has a mention of "small town boy" mention to it??? What is being a small town boy? And what does being a big town boy mean? Why, for example, is it never said that Sachin sucked as a captain big time because oh well he was a big town boy? Or why Ravi Shastri and Sunil Gavaskar played khadoos cricket of first safety and then win, because well they were big town boys?? Balwinder Sandhu once mentioned how the entire Indian team used to call Shastri as Sindhi, a take on the (stereotypical) money mindedness of Sindhi, and how Shastri was very much that guy since Bombay cricket days. Is that supposed to be a big town boy mentality too? :winky: Why is this patronization reserved only for MSD and Kapil Dev?? KD was always patronized as well as being a small town (and I always wondered if Chandigarh was a small town???) lad who made it big in the cricketing world. Ironically these two remain the only WC skippers we have had. The big town boys had delivered a big fat ghanta!! Maybe as a nation we are brainwashed to think like that? Big town chaps dont have a prove anything, small town chaps even those who remain the only cricket skipper to ever win all International tourney will always carry that chequered flag.

The word great is thrown around very easily these days. I would say to be a great cricketer you need to have at least a half decent record away in tests. How many away test tons has he got again?

Already among top 6 highest run getter among wk in away matches. India has to play 13 tests away and by that time he will easily be among top 3.

was a big fan of dhoni since those A tours days where he smashed the paki bowlers,he is most definitely a revelation in indian cricketing history..but since that 2009 CT and home odi series vs aus in 2009,we began to see a different side of dhoni,a very defensive captain..even warnie stated that dhoni's mind boggling defensive captaincy in that 4-2 odi series loss was perplexing.. dhoni's highs are unparallel like WC wins,CT wins and his lows are pathetically low like 8-0,1-2 vs england,keeping his captaincy due to power backings etc.. i like dhoni the player but not dhoni the captain(especially tests)
