Sid Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Sahi mein, nikal hi gaya tha match ,thanks to allah
vvvslaxman Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 I am glad we have a thread for this. Being an Indian fan i was disappointed. Being a cricket fan HUGE RESPECT for the dogged mind they showed.
cric_fan Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Fluffed it Yes Indian's..fluffed it big time. Considering how **** the bowling is...it's not really a surprise.
vvvslaxman Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 What are you yapping about. So many teams have escaped against far better bowling attacks. If you put your bloody mind to it, on a decent batting surface it is not that hard to survive. This is an awesome batting line up. So give credit to opposition 10 times before taking a shot at bowling.
StriKe Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 I would give credits to our bowlers too..They did perform well above our expectation when we expected saffers will score 400+ in 2nd innings ! and we can't just blame our bowlers for 4th innings..give credits to faf and abdv for batting this is not the first time they did it..it's same like when pujara/kohli performed against Steyn n co.. There was some mistake and wtf captaincy from dhoni but its was a exciting game for cricket fans ! Whole team performed above our expectation except ashwin :wall: Kudos to Team India and South Africa ! :two_thumbs_up: :isalute:
ThePhenomenal1 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Steyn only took 1 wicket 2nd innings... shows that you can't always get out quality batsmen. Our bowlers will get better. Shami was superb, and ishant bowled well. Just need to add yadav
ThePhenomenal1 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 We actually saved the match at the end, ABDV and FAF took it away from us. Credit the bowlers for that!
hhunaeh Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 And once Steyn hit him for a couple of sixes you would have been on ICF abusing him for it. +1 and moaning in that sorry excuse of a thread about 9-0

Its quite hard to get them out twice especially when wicket became flat on 5th day.

putrevus Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 I am glad we have a thread for this. Being an Indian fan i was disappointed. Being a cricket fan HUGE RESPECT for the dogged mind they showed. but they chked again at the moment they needed to take that leap which is needed for any team or player to become immortal. They are very good team but not that immortal teams.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 I still think we had it but damn proud of the fight back.
cric_fan Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 This match was India's...they should be VERY disappointed. Chance to win the series GONE.

They are very good team but not that immortal teams. Towards the end protecting wicket will become an important aspect. It reminds me of how Ashwin had to make a decision against West Indies in the last over. India was one shot away from win. But just had one wicket. So Ashwin defended 5th ball .

vvvslaxman Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Like it or not..It's the truth mate...Indian bowlers lack that killer instinct. They choked. South Africa's survival instinct > India's killer instinct. Don't think only bowlers will have killer instincts, batsmen also have. They played better cricket. Would you say South afircans did not have killer instinct so they conceded 421 runs. They even gave so many freebies to tailenders.
zep1706 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Towards the end protecting wicket will become an important aspect. It reminds me of how Ashwin had to make a decision against West Indies in the last over. India was one shot away from win. But just had one wicket. So Ashwin defended 5th ball . Ashwin played like an idiot. India was 8 down not 9. There was no way they could have lost it. He needed to score 2 runs to win it. Played it well but decided to run just one. didn't even try to run two. :hysterical: Two results ruled out. Either India can win or this will draw. This could draw with scores level. Everybody saving two now. Ones available all over. In runs Edwards. Is this Ashwin's Test? Is this destiny? 63.6 FH Edwards to Ashwin, 1 run, OUT, West Indies salvage a draw here. Fletcher might as well say, "We flippin' murdered them.". A length ball, pushes his weight back and smashes this down to long-on. It's as if he has made his mind up there is no second available. Slow to start, slow to turn around. He goes for the second only when Aaron pushes him. Run out by a mile. Did Ashwin miss a trick in the final moment? This doesn't by any means take away credit from what all Ashwin did in the lead-up
