The team is in a transition and I'm sorry Dhoni is not the right person to help in any sort of transition or build a new team... I hope Srini's eclipse over BCCI end soon in 2014 which paves the way for Dhoni being stripped of Test captaincy. Let a new captain with a fresh and attacking outlook build the team instead of resigning to a defensive fate...

If you want to win tests overseas, you need a good aggressive captain first, you need some real quick bowlers (Umesh Yadav, Aaron etc) and most importantly since your bowling is weak, you need to pick 5 bowlers with 5 batsmen plus one wk. Why you want to carry players like Zak when we have Umesh ? Stupid captaincy, Stupid logics and stupid theories.

When you select your worst players, it is always your captain's fault.

This is the best attack.

The Realist Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Dhoni has been finished as a test captain for at least a couple of years, the levels of captaincy on tour in Eng and Aus were abysmal. He has no excuse now as all the seniors have gone and he is the most experienced player left yet he has learnt nothing as his negative mindset and hack level of batting shows. He together with Fletcher have outlived their shelf life and have become stale and lacking in any ideas. Need a fresh and vibrant approach with both a new captain and coach.

It's a miracle that Dhoni has been able to achieve anything at all with the impotent bowling units he's had to work with. No disrespect intended to Zak, who has had a great career but is old now, and to the spinners who perform on favourable tracks, but when it comes to fast bowling we haven't got anyone and haven't had anyone for years now. I don't even blame Ishant and others, they're doing what they can. I blame the BCCI for not sending these guys to county & for not developing pacers the way everyone else is.

Zaheer is past his best... Ishant was never a spearhead even after playing 50 tests. Shami is very promising. We need to try Aaron, Umesh etc..
