There is the small matter of who will captain the side in MSDs absence. Im with you on this, there must be better options as WK/Bat- Id suggest Saha not someone as raw as Samson But with the captaincy Kohli and Pujara are the only two options, my personal choice would be Pujara he seems more mature and has more captaincy experience with the A team and state (I think). However BOTH are too inexperienced right now and should be allowed to focus on their cricket and establish themselves as batsmen. MSD is not going anywhere soon even if we would like him too

Hope selectors see how in SA, Zak and Ishant couldnt get us the wickets we needed. Shami has atleast taken wickets with the no of overs he has had. Jadeja has been superb, great 5-for for him. Ishant and Zak out, zak as coach, pandey and aaron/pankaj come in. Selectors can't be THIS blind

Aaron in tests? Too early Has bowled about 140 overs in FC cricket since his comeback. Just not enough workout to suggest he is ready for a comeback yet.

Well this may be a valid point and is only issue. Is he ready after long injury lay off? But what I would say he has played nearly 2 months with no issues since comback. Then the 1st test match is over one month away, so should be absolutley spot on for that. The guy is 24, now is time to pick him I would back him and Yadav. Both get them in for odis and tests. Back them , bowl them, groom them. Shami, Yadav and Aaron could be the best pace attack we have ever fielded, it should be something to excite indian fans. All 3 bowl 85 mph plus, no let up for the batsman, pace and pressure from both ends.

So basically yadav not being picked is correct cos they dont pick him. So you telling me selctors dont get it wrong and captain dont get it wrong. I can give you list of their decsions to contrary. Great bowls ok for 5 overs with new ball, then we must watch him trundle for rest of 20 overs he bowls!!! Jeez we never learn. Our poor batters get no let up, bowlers staeming in from both ends, meanwhile we dont care and let the tundling continue. Why do indians love trundelrs so much? Its bizzare

Who said he is shyt? Just bowlers like him are not that effective in test cricket. After new ball he will be just bread and buuter for top international players He can have a role in odis. Without the new ball do you think BK can be effective? I have not seen him reverse it, have you. At 78mph with old ball do you think he will trouble good international batsman? By the way you must have had typo there in calling him fast bowler. I like BK but we have to keep it real. If he was bowling at 85 consitently and doing what he does I would be happy. I like BK but we have to keep it real. If he was bowling at 85 consitently and doing what he does I would be happy. But at 78mph, sorry that does not cut it. Especially when for first time in years we have genuine fast bowlers available

85 consistenlty. I hope Umesh is able to live to your that expectation. I am not too sure if our bowlers bowl consistently 85 miles per hour in a test match or in a test series for longer period of ime. Hopefully they do. I want to see

Yes, he can. He is the most disciplined bowler I have seen in India in recent times. Keeping good line and length can trouble even the best of cricketers today. Yes, he won't get swing every time, but his ability to not bowl those trash deliveries will go well for us. He doesn't bowl too many give away deliveries and keeps it simple. This is where batsman will give away wicket to him.

Well when fresh will bowl 85 to 90. In Ydavs case odd one will go over 90. Then of course as day goes by and get tired will drop in pace to more 82 to 86. If used right yadav could be told to bowl fast in shorter spells. I am sure even late in day Yadav will get odd rocket through or odd fiery spell. Of course not saying will bowl 90mph all day! BK meanwhile will start at 81 to 83. Then drop to 78mph! So other two will always be be quicker, evenm when BK is freash and other bowled 15 overs each Yes marginal call with aaron. Some will say play him in odis first as not played in long term etc. I would be more bold cos of our desperate situatuin with good pacers. Include him in both odis and test squad. Odis before tests, so would play him in odis, if speeds are good and he looks good then play him in tests.
