Rohit tells him that, “We’ll see when you come to India.†Steyn responded to Rohit saying that he was in Durban and not India. Eventually the umpires had to cool the situation down. Rohit was bowled for a first-ball duck by Steyn in the first innings of this Test. India are 104 for five. Rohit was eventually dismissed by Vernon Philander leg-before for 25. India were under pressure after they lost two quick wickets early on the fifth day. Virat Kohli was dismissed for 11 on the first ball of the day. He was given out unfortunately after replays showed that the ball had brushed past his shoulder on its way to the wicketkeeper. Dale Steyn further dented India’s position when he bowled Cheteshwar Pujara for 32.

To be fair to Rohit, I think there was a lot more said than just that by Steyn. He might have talked more shyt which he is used to saying. Rohit actually started doing well after all that talk. Albeit, he didn't face Steyn much after that, but he started playing Morkel with good temperament only to be found leg before to Philander. I enjoyed that little innings from Rohit actually. He was doing good. Just needed to concentrate more harder like how Rahane was doing on the other end.

Rohit showed he has passion to do well, he is not out of place facing Steyn or Morkel, bad series for him but he will make runs, hopefully this thing will motivate him , he did not seem afraid and in the modern game haven't seen many players give it back to fast bowlers so KUDOS to him, we lost because of our bowlers not batters. Part of what Steyn told Rohit besides abusing him was I scored more runs then you did and some other rubbish
